Well.. I dunno if any one reads anything but 1 star or five star reviews, but here goes.
The Good: The glass insulates a bit, meaning less sweat on the outside of the glass and not as cold/hot to the touch.
The Good: The glass accepts boiling water and can be used for brewing tea.
The Bad: If you let water freeze in the glass, the expansion will break the glass 7 times out of ten.
The Bad: If the temperature difference is too great the glass will break, i.e. from fridge to boiling water.
Ok, so it is just air between layers of glass, not really a vacuum so there will be some thermal transfer. But if you live in a high humidity area and want cold drinks without drenching your tables with sweat from a glass this can be a viable choice. We have tried coasters for glasses that suck up water but they become saturated quickly. This glass cuts down on the "sweat" enough so that cold drinks by the beach can happen without condensation going everywhere. Hope this helps.
