The adhesive stip on the back is so much easier than scotch tape and it stay on the back so it doesn't get stuck on my books as u pull them out. Silver age bags and boards are way better than the "modern" or "current" labeled ones. Leaves a nice boarder around your book. ( I'm pretty sure these say '"modern/silver" but they are different than regular "modern")

This review is for the product which has the adhesive. BCW makes other bags w/o adhesive.
Overall, the bag is fine and the adhesive works as you'd expect. Peel off the backing tape easy enough and then seal. You can unseal easily and can reseal. I've sealed/unsealed a few bags about 6 times to "test" and only saw minor reduction in adhesion, though some of the adhesive has balled up very slightly when I tugged vs peeled.
I store my books for a fairly long time (years) w/o taking them out of the bag so resealing 3-4 times over the life of the bag is what I expect.
I keep my comics in air conditioning so not testing for heat/cool cycles which would likely affect the adhesive.
AFAIK these BCW 2mil bags (w/ and w/o adhesive) are polypropylene not mylar - they should provide reasonable protection from liquids (on outside of bag), airborne contaminants and slight impact/pressure. They would not be as strong as mylar at the same thickness so safe storage is essential regardless.
The adhesive bags are slightly larger than the similar non-adhesive bags from BCW (see pic).
The adhesive bags will not be as snug for current generation of comics.
Pro - easier to slip book in and out.
Con - book will move around even with backing board so corner/edge damage is more likely. For example, when you stand up the bag/boarded book to store, the boards will sit at the bottom of both bags, but these are larger bags so the comic will also sit on the bottom and is slightly loose so it can shift so the corners/edges take weight. Over a long period of time that will cause corner/edge wear. With the smaller bags, the comic can be positioned with the board corners/edges taking the weight (see pic)
The thickness (2 mil) is the same as the non-adhesive bags I've bought from BCW and feels really thin but they are sturdy enough and are quite clear.
Pro - light and clear
Con - easily dimpled, creased etc.
While I don't see anything really wrong with these bags, for my needs the vast majority of my sub $25 value comics will probably use the non-adhesive, smaller bags vs the resealable as I don't need the reseal that much and prefer the smaller bags for fit.
I have used several different bags from other manufacturers and these BCW bags are cheaper and serviceable for low value books.
For > $25 I prefer to use thicker (and more expensive) bags like mylar.

I swear by these things I love them no more tape on comic bags and no more accidentally getting your comic stuck on the tape when trying to take it out of a taped comic bag. The tacky strip is on the back end of the bag and has no chance of coming into contact with the comic when you are taking it our or sliding it back in the bag.

Its funny but the first time they made resealable comic bags they had the tacky strip on the flap which was soooo silly because it suffered from the same hassle as using tape on the flap and your comics could get stuck by accident when taking them out of the bag then some genius came up with the idea of putting the tacky strip on the back of the bag where the flap makes contact when you fold it closed.
