Cost less than the factory with the same quality

My wife's old factory charger for her Surface Pro 3 went out after many years of service. I originally looked at other websites to try and get a Microsoft brand replacement, but didnt want to pay the steep price. So I came to Amazon and got this one. This cable is twice as long as the factory charger, less than half the price and works just as good. Unlike the factory model, you get a wall adapter attachment thing that allows you to take the charger apart and shorten if you would like. That way you don't have a long cable in a place like a coffee shop or library while studying. Just like the old factory charger, it has a 2.0 usb port to plug up a phone and charge it while charging your pro. Overall I am very pleased with the price and quality. I recommend this to anyone with a surface.

Purchased for a Surface Pro 6. It only works plugged into the computer in one direction. When plugged in the other direction the connection is intermittent. Upon looking, it appears the gold contacts are a smaller size than the OEM charger and spaced just slightly different. For the money, I will use it as is due to this charger being much less expensive than an original Microsoft charger. I have been using it for about a week now and it does not get overly warm either, which was a concern being a 3rd party charger. Only disappointment is only being able to connect the plug to the computer in one direction as stated before.

Had my laptop charged in for 6hrs. Light was originally on then it turned off. Checked everything including the wall plug (it charged multiple other devices that I plugged into it) and still nothing. I have a job interview next week and now I might not be able to do it cause my laptop won't charge. Co plate waste of money. Don't buy!!! I think the other 5 star reviews are paid for cause there's no way it works.

My original charger that came in with my Surface Laptop 2 that I purchased late last year, died a few months back. But it was my fault because I remember using zip ties to keep the cord from extending over. Taking summer classes meant I needed my laptop and a charger fast. Even though it is only 44watts it charges my laptop fast. I'll say in less than 40 minutes. Worth the price!

My original charger died after 5 years of abuse so that's a testament of its quality. However I just couldn't find a trusted listing that would get me the OEM charger without risking a fake and I'm in a country where there's no Microsoft stores. Having searched quite a bit I pulled the trigger on this AC Replacement charger and I'm very happy with it. Charges right away, has a longer cord and even a USB port.

If it dies within 2 years I'd have gotten my money's worth :)
