Note: It is suggested to clean it regularly after each use. Avoid cross-contamination by washing your oven thermometer after every use. Use boiling water or food-safe sanitizer to clean the probe end and then dry thoroughly to avoid rust.

The oven thermometer's probe was long enough to reach the center of a roast while keeping your hands safely away from the hot steam, yet the super-thin tip didn’t allow for many chicken juices to escape after probing.

Note: You can only rinse the probe tip under water, not the unit body. Once splash water on the unit body, dry it with a piece of cloth immediately would be fine.

Easy Conversion of GAISTEN bbq thermometer

Press once to turn light on or off. Press and hold for 2 seconds to choose between Celsius and Fahrenheit, your preference is within your reach.

Note:

(1)Unit body must be placed outside the oven, grill, smoker.

(2)The wire probe and the original probe can't function together. Retract and lock the original probe while use the wire probe.

Calibration and Hold Function

Take a cup of ice water containing ice cubes, insert the probe into the cup, making sure its tip touches the ice cubes under water. Once getting the final temperature of ice water, press and hold down “CAL” key for 5 seconds until “CAL” flashes on the display. Then the digits will flash, allowing you to adjust the digit number to 0°C (32°F). Press the “C/F” button to increase the value, press the “HOLD” button to decrease the value. The digits will keep flashing for 8 seconds, during which you should finish adjusting the digits. Your adjustment is confirmed only when the digits stop flashing, meaning calibration is finished. Do not take out the probe before the digits stop flashing, otherwise error could occur in its accuracy.

GAISTEN cooking thermometer Troubleshooting

Q1: The screen shows "ERR" after the CAL button was held.

A1: At first, you need to add more cooler ice cubes since current iced water/cube temperature doesn't come to 0℃. Secondly, the probe tip must attach to the ice cube. And, relevant calibration video is attached on the Related Video Shorts to help you get reference.
