I really like to buy things from survivors of Nazi Germany.
The story overall was fine. The tiger was rude, came in ate all of their food and drinks and then left- never to return. My choice to return was because of the line “and all Daddy’s beer” this line probably comes from the time and location and I understand that. I’m not a prude, I can kick one back just as well as anyone else can but I’m not comfortable reading it or changing the word up to hide it from one of my kids. I feel when I read that she will ask what beer is and if she can have some. Obviously since she’s five the answer is no and I feel it brings up a topic that’s pointless with an end result of her not being allowed to try something.
To me- it’s a line that I’m not comfortable with reading. For this reason we have chosen to return.
