Wood pellets are wood pellets for the most part, I was happy purchasing a different brand for cheaper. These weren't anything special and didn't impart much flavor beyond smoke.
I'd suggest doing some research into how Traeger got bought out and now owned by private equity so they are purely profit-driven with no regard to quality. This applies to both their smokers as well as their pellets. The company is no longer owned by the original creators who had a passion for BBQ.
I have a RecTeq Rt-700 bull. These are the first pellets I've had trouble with. It took a while for my grill to hit 400 and then they would burn inconsistent. I had temperature spikes up to 475 and they burn fast. Kingsford pellets are a better option in my opinion. One thing that was nice at high temperature these did smoke quite a bit.
I purchased these pellets for ease of use in my electric smoker. I only need them for smoke and flavor, not as a heat source. Despite burning and smoking well, it added little to no flavor. I've used it multiple times since purchase, and had the same result every time.
