3.0 out of 5 stars Great baking result but difficult to clean the corners and rim
Reviewed in Singapore on 8 March 2021

Loaf pan is excellent except when it comes to washing it. Very difficult to remove what looks like rust on the rim and the inside corners. However bread turns our very good and easy to to unmold.

3.0 out of 5 stars Love the pan-but what’s up with the rust?
Reviewed in the United States on 8 February 2019

I used this pan for the very first time last night. I’ve been baking for over 50 years and recently decided to try my hand at more yeast and sourdough bread baking. King Arthur Flour is my favorite source for supplies, recipes, and baking help and suggestions. They and Cook’s Illustrated (for recipes and equipment reviews) both highly recommended this small 8 ½” loaf pan for a standard loaf. And as I had only a 9” Pyrex loaf pan and a 9” metal pan, after research I ordered this pan. King Arthur Flour has this exact pan but with their own name and logo on the bottom. I made my first loaf of a sourdough sandwich bread and as you can see it came out beautifully, and tastes even better. I hand washed the pan and turned it upside down to drain and air dry.

But imagine my dismay when I turned the pan over in order to put it away and after sitting right side up on the counter for a minute or so I discovered rusty water collecting in the corners of the pan. I took a paper towel and blotted it up and shortly more collected. I’ve tried to get a photo of it. When I turned the pan upside down again and looked carefully at the rolled edge. It isn’t sealed - the rolled edge clearly can collect water. And I can see rust under the rolled edge. From what I understand the rolled edge is reinforced and perhaps the reinforcing wire isn’t coated and does rust. I am not happy about the rust.

I now read that another reviewer suggests putting these pans into a 200’ oven to thoroughly dry this rolled edge, as clearly there is no way to hand dry it. I guess I’ll have to try this technique. But I would very much appreciate USA Pan’s input here, whether my pan is actually defective, or if there is a better way to care for the pan. I’m concerned that the pan itself may rust if the coating gets damaged or scratched. I am aware that metal tools are not to be used. But otherwise how durable is this pan?

All of this aside, the pan appears to be sturdy and it certainly browns bread beautifully. I hope the manufacturer and other users can clarify this.

Awesome product!!
I received the product today. Packaging was good. There were no quality issues with the pan. It came intact. The pan is quite a sturdy & heavy one. I didn't expect it to be so heavy. I am very happy with that.
I baked a bread today & it has come out very well. I made a dough of 4 cups (1 cup is 250 ml) of flour. After baking it, it came out of the mould very clean, without sticking. Very happy with this product. I recommend to everyone who is passionate about baking bread varieties to use this pan. I really feel it's worth the money spent..

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, do not think twice before buying!

Excellent loaf pan, the baking results are perfect - my breads turn out beautifully. The pan is sturdy and has great finish, unlike the other brands that you will find in India. Should last for a long time with proper care - water has a tendency to deep into the edges of the multi-layer surface, so make sure that the pan is completely dry before you store it, otherwise might get rusted. Leaving the washed pan in a warm oven might be a good idea.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great build quality, but seller doesn’t pack properly
Reviewed in India on 21 July 2020

It’s a very well-built, very sturdy pan — top-notch quality. The 10x5x3 (LxWxH) inch measurements make it a bigger pan than a standard-size pan, which would be about 9x5 inch i.e. the 1-1/4 pound version. I chose the bigger size version because I like my breads and cakes to have the kind of controlled shape a bigger pan provides, rather than tall “dome” bakes you get in standard size pans. However, the seller did not pack this properly at all. The pan was just kept inside the carton bare. No insulation whatsoever. I am surprised it got to me in one piece. Beware while opening the package because you can easily scratch the pan with the scissor/knife or whatever tool you use to open packages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Increible!

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy with this pan...so far.
Reviewed in Canada on 15 July 2019
Style Name: 1.25 Lb Loaf PanVerified Purchase
Had baked bread a couple of times using this pan, and so far I am happy with the outcome. Compared to my previous loaf pans, this pan is much heavier in weight and after baking the bread it popped right out. (My other pans stated it was "non stick" but after many uses the breads started to stick). Hopefully after long term use, the breads will continue to pop right out the pans after baking. There was a couple of small crumbs stuck in the inside corners which was easy to remove with a pointed end of a wooden toothpick. After washing & wiping dry the pans I still let it completely air dry on the counter before storing it away.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best bakeware out there!

USA Pans are amazing! I was introduced to the bakeware a few years back at a local chefs specialty store. I was searching for a product that didnt exist (lol) and came across USA Pans. They are pricey and I was hesitant, but I made my purchase and went home to bake. I was so pleased that now all I purchase is USA Pans.

The bread/loaf pan is fantastic. It truly is the first non stick pan I have ever found that really is non stick! The corrugated inside does allow for better overall baking compared to my other aluminum and glass pans. The product is hefty!! Not heavy, but darn durable!! I can see these pans not being replaced in my lifetime. Cleaning is a breeze, nothing sticks and they wipe out so nicely and best of all....they stack perfectly and take up very little valuable storage space. I love this bakeware line!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, sturdy, heavy gauge aluminised steel pan
Reviewed in India on 28 July 2020
Style Name: 1.5 Lb Loaf PanVerified Purchase
It's so much better than the cheap-o Indian or Chinese made loaf pans one had to contend with due to lack of alternatives. Weighing in at 607 gms it's thrice the weight of the above mentioned pans. Seems to me it will last through generations. Made of aluminised steel sheet metal the heat conduction is superb. Results in beautifully browned bread and cake crusts. The corrugate surface helps heat convection. Only negative I can think of is the folded sheet metal construction requires more care and cleaning effort. Remember to hand wash with a soft sponge and warm soap water to get the crumbs out. Do not scrub with the rough scouring side of your scrub lest you damage the siliconised coating.
