In fairness, I will admit that I haven’t made any of the recipes yet. I am an experienced cook and I will say that many of these recipes just look odd to me. The Pot Roast Stew calls for 1/2 cup bay leaves. Half a cup?? And it doesn’t say to remove them before serving either. None of the recipes I’ve looked at specify fresh or dried herbs. This makes a BIG difference to a recipe and an inexperienced cook wouldn’t necessarily know which to use. Another recipe calls for 1/4 cup rice. Is that raw rice or cooked rice? Even I’m not totally sure. The wording in some of the directions contain some spelling mistakes which is strange for a published cookbook. One recipe is called Adorable Saucy Basmati Rice. Adorable rice? A misprint perhaps?? Overall, I will reserve final judgment until I’ve made a few of the recipes but I feel this book needs more detailed and careful explanations rather than simply cramming it full of 800 half-assed recipes. The price is very reasonable so, if you’re a fairly confident cook and can fill in the blanks yourself, it might be a useful addition to your cookbook collection.
This book is one of three recipe books fot the Instant. Pot Pressure Cooker, and like the others I found that, except for at most 2 or 3 of the recipes, these books were compiled for the North American/Canadian Market, with many ingredients such as Crab Legs, along with many others, possibly only available in delicatessens in large towns or cities. Another problem is for people like myself, who have allergies to Garlic, Chilli, and Hot spicy foods, means I have to be very careful about what I eat, and numerous recipes in these specially written recipe books unfortunately have those ingredients. What can I say, but whilst many people might like to try the recipes out, I have found the books have just been a complete waste of money.
Firstly it has no images or coloured pages, I saw some negative mentions of this and was a bit unsure. I will say what it lacks with pictures it hugely makes up for in sheer quantity of recipes, after all I was looking for a recipe book not a picture book! With that in mind I'm incredibly happy. We tried the sticky BBQ drumsticks and loved them, hoping to try some of the salmon recipes next.
I've added some pics of the last pages which were a nice surprise, has some basic cooking times for slow cookers and other useful bits.
It is jam packed with recipes and exactly what we wanted, good price too!
Bought a pressure cooker as its lockdown and trying different ways of cooking, bought this book as I needed some new and fresh ideas of food as being home all day can really get hard to think of new foods to make. This book will definitely get them juices flowing as it did for me, soo many recipes more then I needed but more the merrier, had all the ingredients needed and step by step what you need to do, very easy to follow and tastes amazing, some recipes are difficult to get ingredients from around where I live but hey you have hundreds of recipes to choose from so no big deal
I like this book but I can't give it more than 4 stars because many of the recipes are for the American taste, but having said that there are quite a few recipes which are suitable for the UK and can be tweaked. Also the measurements are in cups which might be a disadvantage to some people in the UK. Even so, I like this book and find it useful although it doesn't have pictures in it. Non of the IP books are solely UK orientated but I find this as good as most.
this is an excellent book got lots of varieties, lots of recipes and very easy to follow it has really great number of recipes, and multiple cooking ideas to beginner cooks. Great variety and combinations can easily assist seasoned cooks to prepare more creative, budget -friendly, and tasty meals for the whole family. The author provides an excellent balance between content and price , especially given the current market and social conditions, in order to maximize efficient solutions in the kitchen. very pleased with my purchase.
If you are a beginner (so a little insecure with pressure cookers) this book is great because it contains 800 recipes! This leaves you with a wide range of ideas for cooking your meals with your Instant Pot. Having said that, this book lacks a first premise... because I remember when I first started... I was so scared! Let me explain:
If you're not a familiar, you might have a little trouble finding your way around. First of all, there are no images in the book and we all know that pictures often make a big difference! Also, some recipes lack precision, for example one that calls for rice. The recipe doesn't indicate if it's raw or cooked rice, and what kind of rice is it? This can be a bit intimidating if you are not used to cook with a pressure cooker.
I think this book needs more detailed explanation. At least, first, find out how your Instant Pot works. Try 2-3 recipes from your instruction manual to familiarize yourself with the appliance. Then you will be able to have more fun with this recipe book ;)

Si vous n'êtes pas un habitué vous aurez peut-être un peu de mal à vous y retrouver. Premièrement, le livre ne contient aucune image et on le sait, les photos font souvent une grande différence! Aussi, certaines recettes manquent de précisions comme par exemple une qui demande du riz. La recette n'indique pas si c'est du riz cru, cuit, et il s'agit de quelle sorte de riz? Cela peut donc être un peu intimidant si on n'a pas l'habitude de cuisiner avec un autocuiseur.
Je pense que ce livre aurait besoin d'explications plus détaillées. Au minimum, informez-vous d'abord du bon fonctionnement de votre Instant Pot. Essayez 2-3 recettes contenues dans votre manuel d'instruction afin de vous familiariser avec l'appareil. Ensuite vous pourrez plus facilement vous amuser avec ce livre de recettes ;)

I’ve had a pressure cooker for about a year but never used it because I didn’t know how and I wasn’t sure what I could use it to cook so I bought this book to get started with using my pressure cooker and get some recipes to try out. It has such a huge number and variety of recipes that I’ve managed to find so many meals I want to try out. The recipes are simple and easy to follow but very tasty. Only downside is that there aren’t really any photos but the recipes are well explained so you don’t really need photos to show you what to do.
This is a good start for the novice, however there were a few errors in recipes... where ingredients were left out in the method/instructions. I learned that some methods are not necessarily the best ones... I found that after a couple of recipes, I got the “ hang” of it, and did my own, or got ideas from other avenues online
