Easily modified to make it work better for larger keyrings

This thing really works well. It's got strong enough magnets to hold most sets of keys though be advised you need something that has a metal that reacts with a magnet, most of the time that means finding a normal keyring or a keychain item that works. However I'll say this: This item works way better if you flip the brackets in the back upside down. It makes it so the lip on the top catches the keys and supports them slightly. I don't have any use for that top lip to hold mail or sunglasses as some people have shown, I have drawers for that. But having the keys next to my double cylinder deadbolt is very useful to me. So if you have a problem with heavy sets of keys you can easily remedy this by doing what I did.

Before this, I had a wall mount for keys that worked wonders, but when I bought my new place, I wanted a white one to go with the decor so I bought this one since my choices for white wall mounts with a magnetic key holder were extremely limited. I don’t like this one and wish I kept my old one and did a DIY to make it white. This product does not hold your keys if you’ve got a lot on there. I have a car key, one large key for my building, a mailbox key, and a regular sized key for my home... one time I added a lanyard with my work badge and it didn’t hold. My old one would hold even if I added my AirPods to it. Sooo... it’s pretty and it fits in my home, but it barely does the job so overall I’m pretty disappointed.

Nice looking and easy to install but I used a level and my screws are perfect but when I hung the key holder its was off the factory holes were off causing it to be slightly crooked. O well I don't think anyone will notice but me.

I purchased this magnetic key older because of the aesthetics. I liked the dark wood finish. Purchasing it I read the mixed reviews of the strength of the magnets in holding keys. I believe your mileage will vary depending on the type of key rings you have and how bulky your key ring is. I know home people only have their car and house keys. This might work perfectly for you. However, if you have a few extra keys on there this might effect the weight capacity of the key holder. I found as the way it was designed my keys would drop to the floor if I had the key holder, with the lip up. However, upon reading the mod one user did with flipping the key holder the other was so that the lip was down I found that the curve of the lip gave the magnets extra hold to grip my keys in place. I do wish I didn't have to do the mod as I would have liked the mail holding feature of this design. However, I bought it foremost to hold my keys instead of my mail. So with the mod, it does service that purpose. I will take 1 star off for the loss of the design feature and insurability of the key holder as is without the mod. That being said I would still use it as a magnetic key holder.
