Since I am not a fan of plastic and do not use unless absolutely necessary, these straws can go thru the dishwasher and be used indefinitely. A very good buy. People ask where I found them and always encourage them to go to Amazon and get stainless straws to save money and the planet. When I purchase food stuffs in plastic they go into glass when I get home. Then try to recycle the plastic that can be used in place of wood products, rain gear and other items.
