I do not normally write reviews, but thought this insert was worth writing about. I went to a local store and found a similar stove, however they wanted $5200.00 with installation. Not happening...
I received the wood burning insert in a timely manner. I was at work when the insert arrived and the delivery men brought it to the back door with the better half inspecting of any damage. There was nothing noticeable. It was very easy to install with everything in working order.
We have been threw half a cord this year with the exceptionally cold weather we have had here in Louisiana, but from the first burn on this insert I can tell we will be using less wood.
I am in the tree business and have a lot of wood to use so this is going to save us on the gas bill. I will be recommending this company and of course Amazon to all my customers.

At first I was happy.... now after 4 months, I'm disappointed. All the parts are cheap. Blower fan is very loud, door seals fall apart, the upper fire boards at the top of the chamber are poor durability and fall apart. I saved some money over a top end unit, but now I regret it. On top of that, if you look online at northern tool or other stores you can get it cheaper than here on amazon.i've since seen this same unit for $899 elsewhere. I've tried to contact the seller here for support, but no replies, and now support is closed.

Thanks a lot amazon!

EDIT: I've burned about 2 cords of wood thru this thing so far and I've had enough time to find some flaws. The fiber board panels on the top of the fire box are very poor quality. They are soft and easily damaged. Bumping them with kindling or anything causes them to break apart. I've had to replace both of them and the fire blanked insulation above the fiberboard. This has cost about $200 from US Stove. Overall I still like the stove, but some of the parts are less than best quality. The blower fan is annoying too. It makes a whining noise.

5.0 out of 5 stars Performs perfectly -- we love our stove!
Reviewed in the United States on 2 December 2019
SUMMARY: We absolutely love our Vogelzang TR004 and have zero regrets about our purchase. Should you buy this insert? YES.

DELIVERY: Stove came on a standard box truck. The delivery agent was able to unload and deliver it into my garage without any assistance.

INSTALLATION: We chose to have our wood burning insert professionally installed. In my opinion, there are some things that are better left to professionals. Putting in an open-flame stove seems to me to be one of those. Our installer specifically recommended that we purchase this stove, and that we buy it from Amazon. He said it represents the best value in the market, and he installs them regularly.

PERFORMANCE: This stove is truly a gem. It took us a few weeks to figure out how to get the most out of it. But now that we're used to it, we can get a fire going in minutes, a good bed of hot coals within 45 minutes. Once it reaches that point, you can feed wood all day into this stove and it will consume it all down to a fine white ash. The efficiency in how it consumes fuel is amazing. The heat it gives off is that kind of warmth that just soaks through your bones. We are using it to heat an addition on our house that has always been too cold to use six months out of the year. Now, we can enjoy this room and relax by a beautiful fire. With the blower on, the heat is enough to raise the entire first floor by 2-3 degrees, and the room where the stove sits gets a good 10-15 degrees warmer than that.

TIPS AND TRICKS: 1) We learned that the stove works best without any kind of a grate in it to elevate the wood. Just go ahead and build your fire right on the bottom of the stove. It lights much more easily this way, and stays lit better. We gave away the grate we purchased to go with this stove. 2) Open the damper all the way when lighting your fire and getting a bed of coals going. Once you've got a good bed of hot coals, you can slide it all the way closed to prolong burning and get more heat out per log. If you add wood and it's not catching, just open the damper all the way again and blow on the coals a few times. 3) The glass cleans beautifully with just standard glass cleaner. 4) You don't need to remove all of the ash after a fire. We find the next fire starts more easily if you start it with a few inches of ash already in the bottom. 5) The only fireplace tool you really need is a pair of fireproof gloves for handling wood and coals, and a small shovel or trowel to clean out ashes. Everything else is unnecessary. 6) Like many other reviewers, we found the blower to be loud and "rattly" when we first got the stove. It didn't take long to realize that the steel enclosure surrounding the blower assembly was rattling against the brick of the hearth. This was easily fixed by sliding a few pennies between the steel and the brick in a few strategic places. No more rattle!
