The short vignettes throughout the book conjured up magical images, smells, tastes, and more.
Lots of helpful practical advice too.
If you know nothing about Wabi Sabi read this book. If you know a great deal about Wabi Sabi read this book. It is just wonderful in its introducing the subject and its constantly shaping the concept, by giving many different perspectives. It is and easy read, rich and artistic, and written by a person who not only studied Wabi Sabi but has truly lived it.
Buy it, read it, and share its concepts with others. They've probably have never heard of Wabi Sabi. Sit them down in a quiet, dimly lighted room with a cup of tea and enjoy.
