Wow. What a pager turner! I felt right in the storyline with her, so no wonder I read this in 2 days. This is a rare look at the reality of what sexual abuse inflicted on one person can do and the wake of destruction that it leaves behind, yet we are left with hope.
Kathy’s words are from the heart, and knowing her today I see such a godly woman, full of love, and compassion for everyone. A refrain I saw throughout the book was “pray and seek the scriptures.” In reading this I was also struck by what a deep, abiding relationship with Christ looks like in the day to day and also what a show-off God we have. His ways are always better, and his timing is always perfect; we just have to take our hands off the wheel.
Thank you , Kathy for writing this. I know this was a true labor of love b/c no doubt having to recall and re-live everything must have been painful. You bring a message of hope to all who have abuse as part of their story.
