I have curved Profile Legacy II aerobars, and the mount for this just did not fit well. I had to adjust my bars too closely together to get the straps for thre mounting bracket to fasten. This messed with my comfort on the bike.
I ended up having to remove my bike computer abs its stem mount as well, as it was in the way of the mounting bracket. The back of the mounting bracket rattled against part of the bike as well, scratching my bike and making for a very noisy ride.
You do not have to announce to other riders/walkers that you are approaching as they can hear you coming up behind them about 500 feet before you get to them.
Cons: The Velcro straps are about an inch too short to install on my aerobars. Very noisy (probably because the straps are too short.) The slots in which the straps slide through are in a horrible spot underneath the bottle cage. Same for the backup nuts to slide the cage back and forth. Needs to come with something to go between the apparatus and the stem.
I am going to try to find some zip ties to anchor it down. IF the zip ties do not work, I will be returning this item.
Also the straw fit extremely tightly and didn’t leak as some previous reviews stated. So, they must have fixed that problem.
To prevent any rattling, I put a little bit of foam packing underneath the back half of the holder so it would hit or rub against anything on the bikes handlebars or headset. No problems with noise.
Refilled it once from one of my other bottles during my 56 mile race while riding without difficulty.
The only thing I wish I had done was cut the straw shorter so it wasn’t in my face or resting against my neck and then I was in the TT position, but that was my own fault.
