Product description

Style Name:Trim Puller

A revolutionary, patented tool that does all the work of a pry bar and claw but without the damage. The Trim Puller is designed specifically for repair or remodel projects where you aren't destroying but rather reusing your trim, baseboard, cabinets, molding, flooring and other materials. Does an awesome job at removing tile, backsplash and hardwood floors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pricey But Got The Job Done
Reviewed in the United States on 2 March 2017
I really had to ponder on paying close to $30 for the tool, especially when I saw others that were considerable cheaper. I decided to remove approximately 60 linear feet of baseboards, rather than bending over and trying to sand and repaint them. This tool made quick work of the removal. Before I bought the tool I really couldn't figure out how the slanted square notch worked, but after using it, I think this is what distinguishes this tool from the cheaper ones. The notch helps separate the baseboard from the wall by just hammering down on tool, versus having to wedge a tool between the wall and baseboard and literally prying the baseboard from the wall. As a bonus, I used it to remove the carpet tack down strips; it was much easier with the tool than a crowbar due to the larger width of the tool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great tool for trim removal and many other uses too!
Reviewed in the United States on 26 August 2018
I bought this about 9 months ago and thought it was a good time to do a review of it. Many folks review items after only using it once or a short period of time, but after a few months of use the Trim Puller has proved to be much more useful than I first thought! I've originally used this tool to take off inside window trim and baseboard and it did a great job, l was able to reuse the trim work which saved me a whole lot of time & money as it was stained with 3 coats of poly. I've also used it for taking up tackless carpet strips, but I should mention I also had to use a small 6" pry bar in some areas, but for the most part this tool did the trick and didn't damage the oak floors under the carpet. (yes you read that right, someone covered up the beautiful oak floors with carpet! LOL) Another project was removing cedar shingles, and it worked well for that pulling up 2 at a time. When installing new base cabinets I used it to lift the cabinet to insert a shim, using it more like a pry bar. In conclusion, It's a solid well made & designed tool and can be used for many different jobs not just trim work, and belongs in every DIY & pro carpenters tool chest.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for trim removal and demolition. Here's a trick to reduce the noise!
Reviewed in the United States on 6 July 2019
A bit pricey for a hand tool. That's the only downside to this, though. It's very well built, thick steel, and works great for pulling off trim or removing nailed pieces during demo. A few users commented on the awful metal-on-metal noise when trying to hammer it into crevices. One thing I found that really reduced the noise was placing small pieces of foam weatherproofing strips (the kind that has a sticky adhesive on one side) on the surface of the trim puller where you are hitting it with the hammer. See pics! Obviously, eventually the foam tape will get mangled and you'll have to replace it once in a while. For an example of the sticky foam insulation, check out: https://www.amazon.com/Frost-King-Vinyl-Foam-Tape/dp/B000BQRQA0
