The biggest question that I had with this device was weather the SFP+ ports supported N-Base 5gb/2.5gb with right adapter. The answer is yes. I was able to connect at 2.5gb through SFP+ to my Realtek 2.5gb card on my PC.

Everything else was normal for a unmanaged switch. I will update my review once I’ve had a chance to run some speed test.

Using with present home network with 2.5gig ethernet adapters in two PC's, and with some advanced adapter settings getting about 1.6gig. I will continue to tinker and try to get the 2.5gig. Planning on buying a NAS with 2.5gig ethernet adapter so hopefully I can get the speed as high as possible. The 10gig switch with rj45 adapter gets very hot, so I turnoff at night. Happy with additional speed on the two PC' even thou not at rated speed.

Low price and a long warranty. A couple of 2.5 GbE ports in addition to the two SFP+ ports.
I am getting faster speeds than the QNAP switch I had. Plus the speeds are consistently above 8Gbps when I'm transferring between two PCs with NVMe drives. And not jumping up and down like was happening with the QNAP switch I returned. I'm using QNAP QXG-10G1T 10GbE cards in the PCs.
I only set it up last night. But so far I am pleased with it. Later this year, when some mini 2.5GbE switches come out, I will buy those to connect to this Zyxel switch.

Good value, but keep it cooled

For a managed switch with this many screaming fast ports, it's a deal.

The case gets blazing hot to the touch. Keep it in a cool, well ventilated location. I use an external fan with it.

I had bought the unit to fully support QNAP port trunking. Could never really get Zyxel Link Aggregation to work with it, although Trunking seemed mostly fine without enabling it. So, the management turned out to be a bust for my needs.

Support is really slow, and their suggestions are not as helpful as I would have liked. They do respond though.

FANTASTIC Managed Switch. Simple to setup, EXCELLENT performance, and management (UI). Using it with existing gb switch and in preparation for Asustor AS6602T (NAS). The NAS has 2 x 2.5gbps NIC's allowing for a total of 5gbps speeds when used with switch supporting aggregation.

You just can't beat the price to performance value. The only thing it lacks is MORE ports! ;-) Appreciate Zxel creating an affordable switch, enabling top-tier performance (data transmission) for small businesses not breaking the bank!
