I bought Sonos One Gen 2 but struggled to set up Alexa in Singapore, end up returning it.
I subsequently bought Echo 4(international version) and the Alexa set up was a breeze.
What truly impressed me was the sound quality is perceived to be better than Sonos One. Echo is also Sterieo a speaker (Sonos is mono) and a proper speaker placement allows you to enjoy the stereo better.
Echo 4 also has bluetooth built it( Sonos does not), which allows me to pair it with my laptop(tried watching Netflix and was impressed by the bass) or my guest's devices to play their Playlist.
Echo 4 also has Zigbee hub built-in (Sonos one Gen 2 does not).
Even without considering the cheaper price and better smart/Alexa feature of Echo ( relative to Sonos One Gen 2), I will still buy Echo 4 as it is a better speakers with bluetooth connectivity.
While i already has Google assistant smart speakers at home, I bought 2 more Echo 4 and one echo dot 4th Gen for my other rooms, as I am convince this product is good value for money even as a bluetooth speakers, while adding flexibility for my smart home setup.
Designed to protect your privacy
Alexa and Echo devices are built with multiple layers of privacy protection. Echo smart speakers have a Microphone Off button that disables the microphones. You also have control over your voice recordings and can view, hear or delete them at any time.
