Ear-bud Tips: 10/10
Sound Quality: 9/10
The build quality of these headphones for all three sets I purchased was better than adequate, especially at this price point. I am a connoisseur of inexpensive headphones, having purchased inexpensive ear buds suchJLab JBuds Hi-Fi Noise-Reducing Ear Buds (Black),Panasonic RPHJE120K In-Ear Headphone, Black, and Skullcandy S2IKDZ-003 Ink'd 2.0 Earbud Headphones (Black/Black). In three weeks of use, not one ear piece came off. The build design is also good, if not maybe a little unconventional. The ear piece is shaped specifically for the right or left ear. This design seems to help keep them in the ear in most situations such as mowing the lawn, sleeping, running, walking. However, for real strenuous activity, I found they would not stay in place. They are also a little big for children under 12 in my opinion. The cord length is more than adequate and works nicely with my Belkin EaseFit Armband for iPhone 5, 5S and 5c (Black).
Sound quality is better than decent in my opinion. These are not noise canceling in any respect and since they do not insert too far into the ear, you will hear some background noise in many situations. This is not necessarily a bad thing and as many people tell me, it's actually a good thing. I guess it's based on preference. Bass was very good with these earphones. However, I am sure audiophiles will look elsewhere.
For the price, you cannot go wrong and I would rate these among the best of the least expensive earphones I have ever used.
Boom, badoom, boom, boom, badoom, boom, bass
Yeah, that's the super bass"
I thought that the entire time I was listening to music through these.
The headphones themselves have a nice design to them so that they fit in your ear canals very well and don't slip off. I'd never actually had a pair that were at an angle like that. It's a nice change.
The sound was just amazing used on my Nokia Lumia 710, my Google Nexus 7, and my Sager laptop. The only complaint I have is that I had to turn the bass down a bit to make it comfortable for listening. If you want bass I don't think you can find a better set of earbuds than these in their price range. I got the silver ones for just under $8!!! I'd buy them again. If they die in a few months it wouldn't even bother me as I could buy another at nearly $8 without thinking twice. I'll update this if anything like that happens, of course.
If you have a need for some cheap headphones, buy them. There's really no reason you shouldn't.
The sound was good as far as I can tell. While it lasted anyway.
In about a month it is no longer working. The microphone stopped working last night unexpectedly and now this morning the left earbud has gone out. The connection at the jack is faulty but I don't see why it should be, I didn't put a lot of strain on these headphones and I was careful in how I stored them. Plus with the flat cord and secure connection to the jack it doesn't look like anything is wrong with it.
I bought another one, forgetting that I had purchased it before. Same issues. Not going to buy these again. This time it was worse because it somehow caused glitches with my phone where the volume would turn itself all the way down when I connected to a Bluetooth device with the headphones still plugged in.
