The one for my door is working as it should. I set it to shoot straight ahead and make a virtual wall, it does. My vacuum stays out of my office. So, out of a 10' range i know that the first 5 ' work fine. However, on the flip side, the halo option...not so much.
The unit has a sticker showing how it can protect a 4' radius. Well, it's not enough the cover the 2' gap between my recliner and the wall. The vacuum was still eating my power cord. Naturally i moved the device to test it else where and found out that it stops the vacuum about 4-6" (inches" from the tower unit. Now I;m no expert at math but I'm thinking that a 6" gap will not equate to a 4' radius. (Even tried new batteries, same result.)
While I recommend them, I also suggest that that you be wary of the supposed halo it offers. Maybe this time a straight line is a better option for coverage.
