How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 stars It helped me getter a better grip on my emotions

Wether you have ADHD , know someone who does or want to learn more about the subject, this book is a must read. After years or reading and researching about the condition I have come to the conclusion that the is THE book on ADHD. It helped me getter a better grip on my emotions and understand why I do some of the things I do, all while reassuring me that, as I have always though, ADHD is a gift! Don't expect a medical, boring orientation; on the contrary, this masterpiece will provide all you really need to know -or where to go look for what you might want to research further- in a very easy to grasp and entertaining manner. as an added bonus, it comes in short chapters that don't need to be read in succession a real bonus if you have -ADHD!!. One work...well, actually two: BUY IT!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great introduction to ADHD

Great starter book if you’ve just been diagnosed. The book raises some interesting concepts which causes you to look at things a little differently. Much of the book I didn’t find to be much help as I had already research many of the topics covered, however there was one point specifically I took away from the book which actually is one of the most important and logical pieces of advice I’ve been given so far, and one which will make a huge difference in the future!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best costumer service I have encountered and great book

Book is great but just as impressive was the costumer service: prompt answer to queries and they have done everything possible to correct that the book was late and keep me a satisfied costumer.
I will highly recommend them just because of their costumer service: polite, helpful and prompt. I will definately buy from them.

This book has really helped me to come to terms with my condition as somebody with a very poor attention span. This has allowed me to gain some insights into what it means to have ADHD and how I can deal with it and cope with it in everyday life. I thoroughly recommend pressing forward with this book and reading a little bit of it at a time, as it's really got some useful tips in there. It's actually my favourite book.

Useful for us ADHDers, valuable due to being written by Psychiatrists WITH ADHD. excellent for building knowledge on the pathway to insight and strategy building.
Shorter paragraphs would be easier for us.
1 chapter to read first is brilliant idea

5.0 out of 5 stars A positive and accessible guide to ADD, written by two leading clinicians
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 December 2015
Verified Purchase
An excellent and accessible book that is packed with useful information about ADD and how to cope with having it. Importantly, the authors - two Harvard psychiatrists who have ADD themselves - emphasise the need to identify strengths and not see a diagnosis in wholly negative terms. Eschews the clinical detail of Thomas E.Brown's equally excellent "Attention Deficit Disorder: The Unfocused Mind" but what it loses in this regard it makes up for in practical, accessible advice.
