Very interesting reading. Well written and easy to follow. Good perspective and very positive attitude. useful to parents who just discovered the ADD issue, as well as the more 'experienced' ones. Section on how to deal with schools is also interesting, even though I would have liked something deeper. Valuable source of info. I would recommend it.
Helpful book with some different ideas. About a quarter of the book talks about a method where you have to pay online to take an assessment with your kids to be evaluated and I didn't partake in that. Otherwise useful read.
I got this book because I also got another ADD book for parents and this book was recommended to go with the other book and the pair go hand in hand...this helped me so much with learning about my daughter and how to handle things completely differently than I was! Overall, I would recommend this book to any parent dealing with ADD issues!!!
As a teacher I now look, speak and teach the students (at the school I currently work) with AD(H)D in a different way. From readign this book I hold a different perspective to my previous one. I always knew the basic about teaching them; routine, etc, however, from experiencing this 'personal' information it has encouraged me to actually change my style. I enjoy the page about negative vs positive traits. I have photocopied the page for some of my collegues. All in all, a good book, with some practical technques.
