To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I found most of the exercises in this book incredibly boring and not useful at all in learning. This book isn't very comprehensive or interesting. I don't think my student will benefit much from this textbook. Not really worth the price.
Great guide. The issue I have with this book is that it only covers one page of a subject matter. For example within the math section it may cover LCD but only one page of LCD instead of 2 or 3 pages of it. It is a not whole curriculum book more like a review book. I do use this as my guide for homeschooling but because it lacks real true coverage of a subject matter; I have to pull from other sources to put a whole curriculum together. I still really like these books. They're colorful and they keep my kids engaged with learning.
Each of the activities/pages are great, but the way they are organized is difficult for students to navigate on their own. My son loved the Summer Brain Quest so much, we were really disappointed by the grade level version.
Everything was great until pages starts to fall apart. The material is good and can be challenging in some areas. But for the most part it’s a workout for my kids brain. Great book to keep my kids entertained through the summer.
This book is ok. It's a good if you're looking for academically-driven busy work. Every page is a different topic and it just jumps in without any review. I wasn't very impressed with the content or the amount of questions. Some pages, literally, only had 5 questions. They have big, bold, and spread-out lettering that's a waste of space. We ended up with Kumon books. They were better at teaching and reviewing before moving to harder topics. They helped my son build confidence.
This book is OK but REALLY REALLY needs a fully detailed, each assignment needs a teachers walk through to better help the child/students when they need help. Also, it would be a benefit for the parents/teacher to be able to follow along with the teaching.
As for the Answer Key, it's ok but should also have the answer and a way to break it down if they (child) continue to have problems
