To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Bought this to help with the summer slump, will not buy again. The material alternated between WAY too easy and WAY to advanced. My son is average/above average and some of the material was mind bogglingly difficult. I anticipated this to be something he could sit and do on his own for a few minutes each day. He either flew threw it or would need lots of hands on help that just felt torcherous. Won't buy again, ended up recycling most of it.
It looks engaging, however the skills jump around and the space theme is too much of a gimmick for 2/3 grade. I just wasn’t a fan compared to other Workbooks. We bought a scholastic success reading comprehension book and Singapore math book that we like much better than this one.
I bought both 2-3rd and 4-5th grade workbooks for my sons. The books are lacking thorough explanations for them to understand. For example, my son who’s about to enter 3rd grade, won’t know how to use commas (with just an explanation of “when to pause in a sentence”). Then in my older son’s workbook he has to underline progressive verbs without any description of what they are. Some pages are great but others flawed.
