Really nice book. Me and my kid have been going over it and find it really interesting. With so many videos on YouTube to distract children, this is a book that covers so many of them, and we can have a fun time reading it together rather than looking at a screen. I'm not strict at all with screen time, never limit it, but I'm always looking and happy to find alternatives to a screen. We have read many regular story books together , like Roald Dahl and David Walliams, but this adds an extra dimension to our reading interests. :)
A lovely hardback book that hasn’t 9 yr old enthralled. It is written in a light hearted and less formal way than I was expecting but this adds to the humour for the kids. Lovely colourful pictures support each item. I like the way it is chaptered. The language is a little Americanised in places. E.g. ‘bucks’ and ‘dollars’. Also I’m not keen on the use of the word ‘fart’ in a kids book but perhaps that’s just me!
Bought this book for my daughter, who’s 7yrs old. She’s loved it from Day 1. Everyday she’s learning and sharing new facts. Her 5yr old sister also kind her but be attracted to the book! Must be the colourful pictures... very well written, and well presented! Really good quality, and good value.
I bought this as a gift for my 11 year old nephew. He was thrilled with it so I'm guessing it met the needs of his highly enquiring mind. On that basis I would recommend the book to anyone who has inquisitive little people.
Looks very interesting. Have browsed through it before gifting it to my grandson and bit disappointed to realise it slants towards America i.e. the money facts are in dollars. Nevertheless I think he will enjoy it,
Very pleased with this book. It is for my 8 year old grandson who is interested in science and never stops asking questions. He will love it. It looks much more expensive than its price tag. Really good gift .
