The focus is more on sales, nonetheless the wrlter does also talk about the best way to interview and validate candidates. He also explains briefly how to get your foot in the door in recruitment; by being insistent in your application at your no. 1 choice recruitment firm!
After buying this book, I was offered a job in a reputable recruitment firm. Certain circumstances forced me to turn down the offer, nonetheless the door will remain open for me to join at a later date and should I decide to do so, I'll definitely take this book with me!
Instead of re-inventing the wheel, replicate the successful recruiters around you and what they do, and do it better. This book not only gave me honest, and extremely useful information, it got me fired up! Extremely motivating read, with huge amounts of detail covering wide range of topics. I feel more prepared and confident to take my company to greater heights than I did before I read this book.
I kind of want to recommend this book because it's so good, but also don't, because I don't want too many others having this great information.
It is now filled with scribbles, markings, underlinings and post-it notes that I made while reading. I was looking for a book that was true to the industry and would have all the information and tips & tricks in one place, I found that book.

This book provides a good introduction to the world of recruitment and provides tips and ideas that even an experienced consultant will find useful. Its easy to read and can be picked up and used as a point of reference when you have a particular issue you are looking to resolve. All my new starters get a copy, it should be on every recruiters bookshelf.
Great book. Would say it's more for the inexperienced recruiter as some of the techniques and knowledge in the book is pretty basic. However, was a great read and helped me touch up on some basics. As a Principal Consultant at my current company, it's handy to make sure all the basics and selling techniques get refreshed and this book is great for that. Have handed down to others in my division who are slightly less experienced than myself.
