A very nice book about how to paint landscapes in 30 minutes. Some lessons take less time than that and for me a bit longer as I am only just starting out with watercolor painting. Easy to follow instructions, but I would read them a couple of times first and get everything ready before painting. If there is a drawback to this book, or any art book, the illustration of the drawing could be better, especially for those starting out. In the few lessons I did so far, I got very good results. Especially with my skies. Would recommend this book for practice.
This is a brilliant book, quite small so easy to manage when following the projects. There are 27 projects to follow with clear instructions although I think 30 minutes is a bit optimistic for beginners like me! I have other Paul Talbot-Greaves books and was worried that this might replicate some of these but all the projects are new. I would really recommend this book and it arrived almost by return post.
I loved this - my main subject is landscapes and I always find it tempting to just slap paint on to paper - as a start up anyway. This book was ideal for putting me on the right track - and helping me paint trees as if they actually did come from the ground! A great start-up book with a lots of useful tips - whatever level you're at!!
