There is one letter per page and the letter is so big that makes it hard for little hands to practice control. The book does not stay flat so the have to keep one hand for controlling pages and one for practicing and for early birds this is not an easy task. After purchasing I felt that I have wasted money and I could easily printout these single printouts for free from Google in my preferred size and My son would cooperate better as he was not on the verge of struggling with the book to stays flat or having control over his lettering. He needed to practice standup to get better control and write while standing. The concept doesn't correlate with the binding of the book. Maybe it could be a wired book or at least the pages were precut so you could give them each page separately.
Using this currently with my 3 year old. It’s a good practice book to introduce a young child to writing. Not sure if it will help him remember the letters, but definitely a good starting point to instil writing discipline in a scribbling prone child. And he enjoys working through it.
