To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Note: Never rely on any single book for a major exam or resource.
By itself, this book Filters through a lot of the information in the PMBOK and breaks it down in phases to make is more understandable, especially if one is less experienced in project management.
However, if you are planning to test for the PMP, please also use resources such as the PMBOK to solidify your understanding and translation of the project processes and phases as they can vary from book to book.
There were a few editorial mistakes, such as misspelled words but overall the layout and flow of the book is well constructed.
If you do use this book, read a chapter, listen to the accompanied video recordings by the author and take a small break in between chapters to let your brain store the information properly.
If you are in a hurry to cram, I have found that you can comfortably read about 30-40 pages a day to finish the book in a few weeks and take the test if need to be. But I advise to give some time to properly study as the exam is pricey and one has limited tries before a mandatory pause until the next exam try.
This book was exactly what I needed to help Pass the PMP examination. I recommend reading this book 3 time in full. Each time you read it you will remember & understand better, take tests after each section. I recommend reading the test questions first before reading the sections, that way know know the main points right away. I also used a exam simulator from PM Training.com, in total I took 64 tests including 3 full mock exams. I averaged a 74% on all tests. After each review correct answer and wrong answers, they will give you a page number to refer to in the PMBOK 6th edition & the Agile guide. In my opinion this will be the only time you will use the PMBOK & Agile guide. I studied for 3 months total about 1.5 to 2 hours per day. I passed with above target score. You will fail a lot of the tests, it's normal, review, review, review. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!
