Kahaani Puraani as the name suggests is a story of Ramayana retold by Pridhee in a poetic form. It incapsulates the essence of Ramayana and tells the tales of Ram, Laxman, Sita and Hanuman to our little ones. It is a fun and interactive board book with a rotating wheel, push and pull leaflet, a golden deer and a moving arrow which makes the learning experience engaging and happy. We barely have any good books that focuses on our mother tongue Hindi , this book is exceptional and gives you reading options in both Hindi and English transliterations. A perfect way of keeping the national language alive. I’m ecstatic to see how she enjoys reading it and doing pretend play when she makes her toys read it. It’s sheer joy. I can promise that you will never regret buying this book. .
Wonderful book. I bought this along with Das din and Chugloobugloo and was so happy with all three of them. It's so difficult to find quality Hindi board books in a market flooded with english. And so I was very happy to discover these books, specially has a parent based outside india. Before buying i wondered how a small board book could tell an entire story of ramayana. But the book uses very clever and simple verses to tell the story. And beautiful and colorful illustrations. liked it so much that i have gifted a few of these to other mom friends. Will make a great toddler birthday gift.
The book tells the story of ramayana for young kids. My five year old adores this book (and 'Das Din') by the same author. The interactions, illustrations are outstanding and make the book a lot of fun for bedtime reading. Highly recommend!
What a delight this book is! Our kids 3 and 6 years old enjoy it equally in their own ways - the rhyming lines, illustrations and pullouts! This has helped me elaborate The Ramayana as they ask follow up questions now that they know the basic plot. Thanks Pridhee for this simple yet super engaging and fun book.
I loved how the kids could interact with the characters who were so cutesy drawn out and was a sense of magic about them .. in a simple way the story of Ramayan is told that stays with the child .. loved the book and highly recommend it
