This is a reference book trying to be a coffee table book.

The info, its picture and its explanations of fabrics are very good. It's a wealth for the most part of info.

My gripe is the graphic design of the book.
This is a reference book, something you use to source info, but when you gather that info, you want your ability to get it to be clean, concise, and clear.

The design of this book makes the information more decorative than practical. Half the book and all the pictures are printed in a metallic silver that shines on pages that are not white, but a pretty mid value gray. The contrast isn't great enough for the reader, and it actually can give you a headache of it.

Also, there is no. black type in this book. You have a deep blue as your darkest value. So, color wise, you are not at the farthest ends of the spectrum of value, and that limits you to be able to access info at a glance.

I get it, they wanted to make this thing pretty, but in doing so, they atrophied the user's experience and that is the most important thing.

barathea: tessuto in lana o mohair per realizzare smoking.
cover: tessuto principalmente utilizzato per fare pantaloni, sia di cotone sia in lana.
c'è il mikado ma non il trikado.
il denim giapponese è chiamato Kurabo ed è diverso dal denim normale, i processi di finissaggio sono differenti, non sono la stessa cosa.
mancano le altezze delle pezze per tutte le tipologie di tessuto (70 90 110 140 150)
se la facevo io la facevo meglio.

Das Buch ist sehr hochwertig und schön gestaltet, es macht Spass es anzuschauen und in der Hand zu haben. Die Informationen im Buch sind eher oberflächlich und auf einen kleinen Teil des textilen Bereichs beschränkt. Für ein Textilpedia hätte ich mehr erwartet, daher gibt es 3 Punkte.
