To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The item description and images fail to indicate that this item DOES include the ring terminal harness for permanent attachment to your battery. No need to purchase the item linked here: Battery Tender 081-0069-6 Ring Terminal Harness with Black Fused 2-Pin Quick Disconnect Plug
Just the job, small but perfectly formed, sits hooked up to the battery of my classic Jaguar (XK120) to keep it in tip top condition during the winter months when the vehicle is not in use,fit it and forget it, well done Deltran
This Battery Tender worked as intended but failed within one year of purchase. COMPANY stated a three-year warranty, but contacted the Manufacturer Deltran and company responded swiftly and sent a replacement in March 2021That is excellent customer service. Lost one star due to product failing. Update: August 11, 2022, the replacement also failed well before the three-year Warranty expired. There clearly is a major quality issue here. I will also contact Amazon, as this is not acceptable.
seems to charge and show results on the unit by red or green light, flashing green means close to full charge, red is needs to be charged. solid green means fully charged. connector that goes on to the battery works very well. connections on the side of the unit that plus into the unit when it is charging is very thin and breaks off very easy. this part must be handled light care also I bought these units at $29 dollars . now they are $40. many chargers out there do the same thing at a much cheaper price.
I purchased three of the Juniors (one for a deep cycle RV battery, and two for lawnmower/ATV batteries). I have two of them connected to batteries (the deep cycle and the ATV) at the moment. They are both working fine - no issues.
The ATV battery was approx, 50% depleted - the battery tender brought it up to a full charge within 2-days and has maintained it there for the past week (Note: the battery is outside in below freezing weather). I have the battery tender in a weather protected compartment.
Be careful with this newer version as not as robust as previous ones. Considerably lighter construction and would surmise it will not take rough use such as the occasional drop onto a hard surface. Should it fall on a cement floor my bet would be it would crack and become useless. Trust the manufacturer will read this and make future productions to address this fault. The price has remained the same over the years but cutting corners will tempt me to check out competitors for future purchases. Bottom line is it works as described.
Worked as intended, kept my summer car charged up through a Canadian winter without any issues. On future iterations, I would like to see foam/soft insulation on the wiring that hangs against the vehicle body to prevent scratches. Minor detail but I think it'd be a good feature.
I use these on our motorcycles all winter as well as 3 vehicles that don't see snow. Keeps all the batteries charged up and ready. Love these. I have 4 of these and they all failed within 3 days of each other. Coincidence or built in failure? To have them all stop working with in a short period of time when they were also placed into service at pretty much the same time interval. So they work but Longevity is questionable.
Great. I use this to keep my car battery topped up when it's being stored for longer than a couple of weeks. I usually store my car in a covered car park but I like that I don't need to worry about water or the elements like I would with the Battery Tender Jr.
I've attached the included battery ring connector to my car battery and zip tied the other end to my cars grill. I can tuck it away and you don't notice it but it is easily accessible when needed.
