I have a fan that because of the way it was installed it would have been a nightmare to replace. I also had a bird who loved this fan and chewed on the blades. It looked horrible. At first I was going to remove the blades and spray paint them, but then decided to see if I could find replacement blades. I found these blades and they worked great! What I like: they are real wood and have a nice finish. When purchasing the blades you do need to measure where you need the holes to match up so use your old blades to measure. My husband did need to make the holes a tad larger so an electric drill is handy. All in all these blades worked great for me.
My screen porch ceiling fan blades were falling apart so I ordered these craftmade fan blades. I checked all the measurements before I purchased them and figured if the holes don't line up I can drill new holes. But the were the exact size and everything lined up perfectly and it took me about ten minutes to replace.
Ours is a 20 year old fan. It needed some new life. We painted part of it and these blades fit perfectly. We looked several places and couldn't find a match. Now our old fan looks new again. Nice quality.
I purchased the aged bronze color and the blades appear nice. As others have mentioned, if you are using a different brand ceiling fan, the pre-drilled holes do not align. It was simple to drill new holes, but the pre-drilled holes are visible. This was not a deal breaker for me. I would gladly order more blades, but would prefer blades without any pre-drilled holes.
