To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This brand of loaf pan appears to come in two sizes - small and large. I bought the small, and the size is perfect for me as I am cooking for one. I get about 18-20 slices of bread per loaf. This loaf pan is VERY sturdy and feels very high quality. As other reviewers have noted, the lid can be a bit sticky and difficult to easily slide open and close. I add a few drops of olive oil to the inner ridge of the lid each time I use it and presto - it slides back and forth perfectly. I have used it for baking bread, sometimes with the lid on and sometimes with the lid off. My only complaint is that it is recommended you NOT wash the pan in the dishwasher, so I have to wash it by hand. Good quality loaf pan, I highly recommend. And I like that it is manufactured in North America.
This is exactly what i needed (a taller than standard pan as my dough was rising but falling over the edges of a normal pan).
I don't use the lid because i want my dough to rise as much as possible. However, if i were to make banana bread i will try it (eventually). The bread comes out easy. I just shake the pan a bit while it's still hot so the bread is loosened before leaving it to cool off.
