So I was skeptical at first after seeing people's reviews about it being hard to move and near impossible, I find alot of people say that about most magnetic products but it's normally due to incorrect use!, In this case again I found that, it's a very strong magnet which is a good thing as it stops it falling off when my fish are grazing, The trick to moving it around the tank is to basically take the dry side off the glass and hover it around as the strength is there even with 12mm glass it won't let the wet side float away, it's super easy to move around using this technique, the reason it doesn't move on the glass easy is due to the rubber on the dry side, it's there to help it stick I can assume, I think this product is excellent and wish I'd got one sooner! Great value for money as it's much cheaper than the shops near me!
Nice idea but it sticks to the glass making it hard to move about and remove from the tank. You end up having to dive in to retrieve as the outside magnet stays in place, and the clip part just floats away. Needs a felt backing similar to an algae magnet so it doesn’t stick to the glass. Also, there’s a small backing plate that comes loose. Not worth £20, for that it needs to be 100%.
Its rubbish ,it sticks to the glass on the outside like glue I can barely move it ,even without the inside part attached it still sticks to the glass ,tried one in a LFS which seemed to work fine ,tried washing in vinegar but it still sticks instead of sliding . Really don't get these good reviews !!!!!!
Works perfectly, no issues at all moving up and down the glass, 1/4 inch thickness, , just almost lift the magnet slightly from the glass as you move it and it glides, the only reason it's not a 5 star is its £20 for a clip !
