Too tight, can't return

This is too tight. I could almost get it in place, but it was like a tourniquet. I don't understand how this can really be a large. I did measure, and just barely over 17" so this should be fine according to the measurements. Why no xl? I don't see how a man could use this size. So, consider sizing up if your knee falls into the S or M range. And remember you can't return it!

I also bought another similar sleeve without the hole so I could compare them. That one was even tighter! I couldn't get it up as high as this one, so maybe they all tend to run small. But at least the other brand has XL.
