Great for guinea pigs

I gave my oldest guinea pig 0.5 mL of this as a vitamin C supplement. She loved it so much she would basically grab the syringe with her mouth as soon as I pointed it towards her. Unfortunately she recently passed away, but she loved this stuff. For me, this was much easier than dealing with pills or Oxbow vitamin C hay supplements, which she and my other guinea pigs refuse to it. This also should be more stable than adding drops to drinking water.

I really didnt want to write a bad review because I like this product. The vitamin c is great-- it tastes good and works as promised. The shipment of the bottle needs major work. I received the first bottle I ordered on time but immediately noticed the box was wet. The bottle leaked in the box. It wasnt broken so it looks like the cap wasn't tight or something. About 1/5 of the liquid had leaked. Amazon customer service refunded my money-- no problem there. I reordered the vitamin c (different supplier but still fulfilled by Amazon) received it in sufficient time, but yet again, the bottle leaked! I thought it was a one time occurrence but I guess not. If the bottle lays on its side in transit, I will likely leak! I wont be ordering this from Amazon if I can help it. How can I give this to my child if I can't trust the quality? Very disappointed.

I use this for my guinea pigs to maintain their vitamin C levels. It's obviously made for people, but they love it so much that it's my first choice for a supplement. It tastes good(yes I tried it), and I can imagine I would have liked it if I needed to take it every day.

This is the liquid Vitamin C the Los Angeles Guinea Pig Rescue and the Exotic Animal Vet Center recommends for Guinea Pigs. It can help make other medications taste better and helps to prevent scurvy heart disease and arthritis. 1mg of this liquid is 50mg vitamin C and is the dosage recommended for adult guinea pigs. Half that dose, .5mg o2 1/2cc is the dose for a baby guinea pig but vitamin c is water soluble, meaning excess is flushed out in the urine.

I’m a frequent customer of this vitamin c and purchase often and have always been happy. This last shipment the bottle must have been tampered with. One bottle was leaking and the seal was broken. The worst part is that it’s not even elegible for return. I have 3 little ones and do not feel comfortable giving this to my children. Now a days you never know what could have been done or put inside the bottle. So disappointed
