All fish are different, and mine are somewhat indifferent to this particular nori. They will eat it, but they don't go crazy for it like they do with other foods. My biggest complaint is that it disintegrates almost as soon as it's in the water. I've been able to clip partial sheets or strips of multiple other brands and allow my fish to graze for an hour or two before I remove the remnants; this brand blows apart within 30 seconds. I have to break off a piece not more than 1" x 3" in order to prevent my tank from looking like blizzard conditions with red snow. It turns grazing into a mad dash, which kind of defeats the purpose, and whatever isn't eaten throws a ton of extra bioload into my system (vs. being able to remove the uneaten portion from the clip). Will use what's left in the package, but not sure I will purchase again.
Brilliant, my lawnmower goby and sea hare love it. Once the hair algae is gone, they will starve without it. I give them a good bit on each 2 clips and the next day it's all gone. This particular type of sea weed has to be the red one, not the green one, it's not nutritious enough for the sea hare. Even best, the crabs won't touch it so won't eat it, just give them the green seaweed if you have too, as a treat !
The package I received must be old or something, about 30 seconds after putting the clip in the water, this stuff falls apart and blows all over the tank. I’ve used the product before and that’s never been an issue, buy from someone else.
I should have expected this, but didn't. They completely fall apart in the tank in about 20 minutes. I put them on a veggie clip on the side of the tank and left, when I came back there were 1/8" flakes of this floating around the ENTIRE tank, I had to go in with a net and scoop them up. If your fish eat REALLY fast or you don't mind them falling apart and going everywhere (until your fish clean them up) they are probably really good nutritionally, but for me it's not worth the mess.
We use sheet nori on clips in our aquarium. I bought this to try red instead of green. The green works great but the red just crumbles and flakes off in the tank. It made a huge mess in our tank. This same brand green was fine. Just the red I didn’t like.
Tangs love it but be ready for a mess! The normal green nori ive had stays on the clip much longer. My hippo tang turned the tank into a red snow storm in about 5 minutes! Recently upped to 5 stars because i think tbats the way red nori is. Tangs love it
This base for this product is helpful to organize devices, but plan on getting/using your own charging cables. The cables is comes with are a perfect length, but one of the cables didn't work at all out of the box. And now, a few months later, several more have stopped working.
