These were not around when my oldest was a baby/toddler. She had to take the very nasty liquid vitamins which was always such a pain. My youngest on the other hand got lucky and never had to experience that because of these! Super easy just one drop in the mouth!
The only negative I have is that when the bottle starts to get low the time spent trying to gain enough liquid to form a complete drop gets longgggggg. Near the end, probably a week or so left of the bottle, it takes what feels like forever to gain enough to have a drip. I end up ripping off the plastic piece and having my child take a quick lick (don't worry it's not more than a drop on there!) and pitching the rest because it's such a hassle. I will say that I would MUCH rather deal with that hassle and loose a bit of product than deal with a trying to get my child to take the other liquid form of Vit D.
Excellent product! I have used the 1000 IU drops for myself for years. I purchased these drops to use with my 2 and 3 year old children. They have absolutely no taste which makes it easy to sneak into any beverage or moist food. Some reviews may say that the bottle is only partially full, but if you read the product details it says that it is designed that way so that the perfect volume may be dispensed ever time. So you are getting the number of drops as advertised despite its looks.
These are great for sharing between my toddler and infant. I give the toddler a drop on something I know he's going to eat, like yogurt, every day. Then I can give the baby a drop every other day to make sure he's getting the right amount (400iu per day) on average. Sometimes it's hard to tell if the drop actually came out of the bottle, so I watch the thing I'm putting it on, to see when the drop hits, rather than watching the bottle. So much better than trying to get them to ingest a whole dropper-full of yucky, funky orange stuff.
My kids really do grow taller with this - there was a time I stopped for two months and their growth chart shows it. Invaluable product. My only minor pet peeve is that it tends to dispense drops faster when it’s full, and very slow when it’s almost empty.
No idea how to evaluate the quality of the vitamins short of having a blood test. But the bottle it comes in is dumb... I have to hang it over the mouth of my toddler for several seconds for a drop to form and he doesn't want to take it so won't stay still of course. Maybe useful if you want to add it to food or liquid but a total waste of money for what we wanted to use it for. Would send it back but I opened it looking for the dropper I assumed would be inside!
These vit D drops are quite possibly the best things since sliced bread. I add a drop each to my sons' and husband's food and neither of them are aware of it. They really are flavorless. They're a teeny teeny teeny tiny bit oily in texture bc they've got coconut oil but there is absolutely no coconut flavor or scent. I'm a huge fan and am so glad I've found a great vit D supplement for my family for the winter months when we can't get outside as much.
It’s only one drop. Taste is not that important or how much in the bottle. But every bottle is the same fight. If you pass the half, the fight starts. And it’s not fun. But there’s nothing wrong with the quality. It takes two minutes and many shakes to able to reach that little drop. I won’t buy it again.
