3.0 out of 5 stars I wasn't pleased with the option they gave us at the doctor's ...

Our pediatrician told us that our newborn would need a vitamin D supplement as an exclusively breastfed baby. I wasn't pleased with the option they gave us at the doctor's office, and this was the only organic, semi-healthy looking option I could find in a pinch. I have a couple of complaints. While it is nice that you can give your baby ALL of their recommended vitamin D in one drop...Seriously? One drop? It is nearly impossible to get one drop in the mouth of an infant, and it takes FOREVER to come out of the little hole in the top, so by the time the drop is ready to come out, you have most likely lost your opportunity to get it in their mouth. Putting it on a spoon or something doesn't really help either - it is only one drop, after all. My other complaint is the flavor - I don't think it needs it. It is too strong and the baby can smell it coming and gear themselves up to avoid it. A flavorless, odorless version would be preferable. However, we do appreciate having a natural, organic vitamin D supplement to turn to, so we will keep using this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Organic, Super SLOW to use, tastes berries.
Reviewed in the United States on 15 November 2018

Our pediatrician recommended it for our newborn baby so we tried. It is organic, safe for newborn babies, just a single drop is enough for under 12 months babies. But the drop comes down SUPER SLOW. Seriously it takes more than 10 secs to get the drop down. My baby can't wait for the drop, he moves his mouth a lot so I can't aim it easily. And I don't know why this vitamin D should taste of berries when it's for newborn babies. My baby so hates the taste. Newborn babies shouldn't taste of anything except milk before 4 months I think. Please get rid of the berry taste (or scent), make it taste nothing like it should be!

5.0 out of 5 stars Concentrated drops

Recommended by our pediatrician. It smells good but baby is only used to breastmilk so anything other than that make his face wrinkle up & grimace as if to say “what is this?! This ain't milk!” He accepts it though which is good.
A lot of reviewers complain about it being hard to dispense. I did not find it hard. In 5 seconds you have a drop, put it on ur pinky and have ur little one suck on your pinky. Done. I like that this is more concentrated- means less filler ingredients than other vitamin d products.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wish the dropper would be better

I really wish I could give this product a better review:

1) it is impossible to get exact one drop out. Why does it have to be so hard?
2) my 3 month old, who is generally happy, cried right after I gave him the vitamin. He never cried when I gave him vitamin d from other brand
3) it is great that it is organic but due to poor usability of the dropper this product is useless

4.0 out of 5 stars Normal for bottle to be partially filled
Reviewed in the United States on 15 February 2019

Although the safety cap and seal were unopened, I also noticed the liquid was not filled to the top. I contacted the manufacturer and they stated it is normal for the bottle to be 2/3 full. They should note that on the package.. It is also difficult to get the drops out as other reviewers mentioned. I believe it's a high quality organic supplement but there are some improvements to be made.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best vitamin D product with no unhealthy additives
Reviewed in the United States on 9 November 2018

Yes, these drops can be a little challenging to get out and into your child's mouth sometimes, especially when it gets towards the end of the bottle, but it's really not that big of a deal. The biggest pro, that outweighs this is that there are no unhealthy additives, or other vitamins in it that baby doesn't need. It's great quality, the ease of use is just a bit challenging. We've been giving this to our baby for most of her short life and it's become a game as part of her bedtime routine. We ask her, "Do you want your drink?" and she gets all excited and opens up! And in the drop goes!

1.0 out of 5 stars Leaked out

Looked like a good option so I purchased a bottle. It arrived half empty in an oil soiled package. Ordered a replacement, and it was exactly the same as the first one. Returned. I cannot give this supplement to my kid since I cannot guaranty its freshness due to poor seal.

1.0 out of 5 stars These dispense waaaaay too slowly
Reviewed in the United States on 10 August 2014

I actually hate these bc the dropper top is sooooooo slow. I have to hold the bottle upside down for 30 seconds or so for a drop to form. With a previous vit D supplement, I would hold it over my son's mouth and in 2 seconds he got his one drop. Done. Have you ever tried to keep a 2 year old still for a full 30 seconds while waiting for a drop to appear. Not.gunna.happen. So I've been holding this above a spoon, waiting for the drop to come out and then giving him the spoon to lick.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good dosage amount
Reviewed in the United States on 15 December 2014

I like the dosage amount, it's a small little droplet that provides all the vitamin D for the day but I do not like the bottle. The droplet takes a long time to come out and you have to add it to something or onto somethign to get your child to take it. I wish it had a medicine dropper, my son will not sit and let this fall into his mouth. I put some of it on my finger and then put my finger in my son's mouth which works okay. I've also added it to yogurt and just mixed it in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent organic vitamin d supplement!
Reviewed in the United States on 21 January 2015

I love that this is organic. The berry flavor smells a bit strong, but baby seems to enjoy this. Initially, baby's pediatrician recommended Enfamil vitamin d drops, which we were not pleased with at all. The caramel colors and artificial flavors of the Enfamil scared us away from it, and baby cried every time we gave it to him. It's very convenient that this only requires a small drop to give the baby is daily dose of vitamin d.
