I love Oxbow products and this is nice and soft and great filler, however it is very, very messy. It's also the only bedding I've used that my rats drag all over their cage and it clings to everything making it very difficult to clean. I didn't even finish the bag before buying a different kind of bedding that is heavier and denser and it's working much better for me because the rats aren't constantly throwing it out of the cage and dragging it onto every level and every hammock.

We got this as additional nesting material for our pet rats. It's Ok, but really a bit fine to it gets everywhere when you try to grab a handful to put in the cage. With other paper beddings we have bought the rats like to pick it up and carry it around to make their beds as they see fit. They don't seem to touch this stuff - paybe because it is so small. It would probably be better for either smaller pets or ones that don't tend to enjoy making thier own nests so much.

I love all of Oxbow's products, but this one was a bit iffy. It's extremely soft which I really liked and the white color makes it easy to spot any issues with urine, but once it gets wet, it stays wet for a very long time. I like to mix it with Carefresh Ultra to make the bedding soft but still absorbent. I'd probably purchase again, I just wouldn't use it by itself.
