I was extremely disappointed by this diffuser. I have another that cost $10 less off Amazon, but it only lasted ~5 hours, so I wanted something with a larger reservoir, which this diffuser does have. However, used in the same room, sitting in the same location, with twice as much of the same oil I was using, I get significantly less oil smell output. The reservoir on this is somewhat of a pain to fill. You remove the top faux wood piece, and the tank separately. Then have to attempt to balance the tank while removing the lid on the bottom, and then your oils lids, filling it, and re-attaching the lid to the bottom. The inside of the reservoir clearly shows why there is less smell coming out, as after a use it is coated with what appears to be almost all the oils inserted on the inside. I think this is worthless, but I tried it long enough trying to give it a shot, that I'm sure its too late to try to return it via Amazon. I will probably try to sell it cheaply to someone who likes this diffuser for some reason, and either re-buy the other cheaper type I have again, or look for something else. If I could give this 0 stars, I would. I have a mom and sister who both were looking for a diffuser, but I don't want to even gift it to someone because I feel like it is so worthless and just wastes oils.

I had a horrible experience with this diffusor. I think there are a lot of mixed reviews because it really is middle line quality- people have experienced far worse diffusors, and much better. I had a Young Living diffuser that I broke (clumsy me) and thought I'd replace it with a cheaper version. My mistake. But I so wanted to love this thing!
The design itself is very faulty. It's very narrow at the bottom of the base, while tall and skinny. It got just a tiny nudge and the weight of the water and the narrow base caused it to go toppling over. water gushed everywhere and I quickly grabbed it, but now the machine was flooded with water (laced with expensive oils, might I add?) so that had to be dumped because it wouldn't work. So then as I placed it back on the slightly wet counter, it continued to slip and slid all around due to the weight displacement, again spilling everywhere. And when you turn the water container upside down, if you get it on wrong, it again floods the compartment with water, so you have to get it right each time. Or it doesn't work, because the wrong compartment is flooded again.
And I won't even go into the cheap plastic faux wood cover that was already chipping and looked really cheap.
I paid to have it returned because the $6 was nothing to the stress of having to use that thing.

Too bright...

I've only had the diffuser for about 2 months and have only used a handful of times (I have several others I use in various rooms). So far it is working just fine.
The look is aesthetically pleasing, but it's not as user friendly as other diffusers I've had, in regards to the water tank and filling process.
My disappointment however, is in the amount of light it gives off. I want a diffuser to use at night, that is not noisy and doesn't light up the room like a nightlight.
Even on the non-color changing setting there is a significant amount of light that comes through the top of the dome (so I tuck it behind something). I also had this issue with my first Now brand diffuser.
I'm also surprised that there is not an option to select a color, rather than it constantly rotating through all the colors on the color setting.
Lastly, the diffuser never fully shuts off when plugged in. In the off mode, there is a red light indicating it is off. The only way for that light to turn off is by unplugging it, thus it is lit up all night after it turns off by itself, and is also continuing to use electricity while plugged in.

Does not diffuse essential oils!

I must have a faulty one, and if not, then I would give it a negative star. I have had a few different diffusers over the years and this one did not meet my expectations. Nice design, however, it did not diffuse my essential oils at all. Didn't matter what kind of e.o used/combined or how many drops, the oil sat at the bottom. The only time I can smell the eo is when I am dismantling the parts to dry or clean. In addition to it not diffusing the eo, the power cord is short and it took a few more steps to get it set up than other diffusers. Filling up the water was easy, but trying to get the eo into the tank took a few tries. You can't put the tank down without it falling due to the shape. I had to first get my eo ready by unscrewing their caps and have my dropper within reach. Fill up the tank, put it in between my arm and side while the other hand uses the dropper to get eo into the tank. Once set up is complete, it shoots cool mist out right away. The LED light works fine, it is quiet, and it does shut off at 8 hours. BUT, it does not diffuse the essential oils and that is why I am returning this item.

It's a pain to fill.

There is nothing "user-friendly" about this diffuser. It is made of a super smooth plastic (the "wood grain" piece is separate from the water reservoir below) and it is almost too "slippery" to lift the wood/plastic piece off. Then when you get the the water reservoir, it too is smooth and conical making it challenging to handle securely (especially once it has water in it). When filling the reservoir, there is no easy, convenient way to set it down or hold it to fill it; if you put it between your legs it slips/pops out and it has an angled top, so it can not be set down upside down to fill it. Then, if you are right-handed, once you have it oriented (between your legs) to pour the water in from the right, the fill lines are on the back-side. It seems to work fine, but due to it's annoying nature of being filled I do not use it very often to be able to comment on it's long-term reliability. The only real redeeming value I've found so far with it is it's aesthetics. I would not deem that worthy enough to recommend anyone buying this in the future.

SEE UPDATE BELOW 6/30/15----This diffuser works just fine so far. We will not purchase another like this. It's made out of plastic, not wood, that's the first complaint. The second and the most pertinent issue is the design. This diffuser falls over quite easily. Messes are not fun to clean up. The slightest bump to the surface it's on and it goes over. Sorry for the bad review, but honesty it what was needed.
*****6/30/15---THIS PRODUCT HAS STOPPED WORKING, originally purchased in January 2015. This diffuser has only been used a handful of times in our office for our patients. As of today, it has stopped working completely. There is no company to contact regarding a replacement item. We are very disappointed in this product. Our non-profit organization is here to make sure our patients are comfortable, using the oil diffuser for aroma therapy along with our reiki and bowen master was an essential tool. Please look at another model if considering a purchase. I personally had one for my home use that is fantastic, it's a flat bottomed white one with a silhouette of a lotus flower on it. I will bring that to my office for them to use temporarily. Very disappointed in this company. Thank you.

Terrible Design and LEAKS

I received this a month ago and have been using it every day - cleaning per instructions every day. This morning when I turned it on the lights started flashing and it wouldn't work. I read the troubleshoot guide and it says the unit needs cleaned. I just did that before I filled it! Tried it again, four more times and nothing. The only way you can clean it is to rinse the water tank, wipe the inside of the base with paper towel and swab the disc inside the bottom of the base. All of which I did and it won't work. There has never been a sediment problem nor any discoloration due to lack of cleaning. Also, before it quit working, it's messy to fill and leaks but I put it on a glass topped table and dealt with it because it puts out good vapor and the design is better than others that I've looked at. Guess that doesn't matter when it won't work!
