I like the look of the diffuser, and the color changing lights are nice, Not too bright for my massage therapy treatment room. And since the volume capacity is fairly great, it runs for a long time without needing refilled. However, what I don't like is that the twist-on cap has a sort of green plastic/rubber ring (?? Odd kind of substance...) that has begun to wrinkle/dissolve/break down/crumble over the course of the last couple of months. I have been using it for maybe a few months now, so this began to happen shortly after purchase. I don't anticipate it lasting much longer than another few weeks. I use the diffuser a few times a week, and only ever put enough water in it for it to run up to a few hours. I admit that I don't remove the cap and set the diffuser to dry once it has run out. I just refill it the next day. Some people run their diffusers day and night, so I can't see how this model would hold up to that kind of usage at all. I have a different kind of diffuser that I use in my home, and I greatly prefer the structure of that one. Instead of a twist cap sealed reservoir for the water, I only have to pour water into the body of the diffuser. It's a shorter run-time, but as least the components aren't breaking down.
I have 2 of them ordered in 2019. I've had good luck with them for the most part, they are quiet, easy to use and it does it's job even in large spaces which I didn't think it would. The only issue I have had which gets frustrating is that the green gasket on the inside of the cap where you fill it sticks which somehow allows too much water to flow in when you set it on the base it fills up with too much water and when you turn it on it won't work. I've had to take the cap off, push the gasket down to get it to stay in place. For the price I feel like the design could be a bit better so I don't know that I'd buy another.
It's pretty and it works most of the time. When I first got it it would be working and just shut off. I read the manual and the trouble shooting part and tried all that and still wasn't working properly. I called customer service to ask them about it and the woman I talked to sounded like I was bothering her for calling. She then proceeds to tell me that this model is just finicky you just have to keep messing with it. That was after telling me that I needed to put warm water in it to get it to work even though it had set all night and fired right up once you mess with it. I saw this product at Whole Foods Market and liked what I saw but now I am really questioning if Now products are of any quality. It was made in China. I really wasn't impressed with there customer service that was a very bad experience. All in all if you are willing to mess with it now and then its ok of a product. I would not buy another one of this product myself which is a shame cause I like theology of it.
It's nice but it doesn't fill an open room at all with the scent and it's speratic when it wants to work. It's very nice looking and it's easy to clean. I originally bought it for a trip we were taking to Minnesota in the summer. Since the national bird of Minnesota is the misquote, I wanted a natural alternative to bug spray. I mixed Tyme, Lemon, Citronella and Lavender oils to the water and it produced a pleasant odor and we didn't have one misquote bite. I used the same (diluted) mixture in a spray bottle for our skin and it worked perfectly. Our cabin was small so it filled the room well, but not or home when we returned. If you are going to use this product in a small place go for it, if it's larger then a spare bedroom size, then buy more than one.
I would like to preface this review by stating this diffuser would have gotten 5 stars when it was working. I really loved this diffuser, however, it stopped misting after about 5 months of use. On average, I used it two to three times per week so I feel it shouldn't have reached it's max life expectancy for another year or two. I actually purchased 2 of these in February, one for my home and one for a baby shower gift to my cousin. As far as know, hers is still working great. The design and easy use were a plus, but I can longer use it. I'm not sure how to go about getting a replacement. I would really like to purchase another one, but that's not really in the budget. Does anyone know how to contact the manufacturer? There isn't any information in the description for the manufacturer.
I was expecting to smell the aroma alittle more then I am. 1st day I didn't see any steam coming out. Next day I saw the steam and was surprised, and thought I would smell the aroma of the oil more now, but I didnt. Guess it's good for a tiny space. It's got a cheap plastic feel to it, picture alittle deceiving. I have it in my bedroom, and wanted to smell the lavender to fall asleep to, but unless I hang my head over it I can't smell it. One good thing though is thst I haven't had any furniture ruined by the oil vapors like they said. I'll still use it, but I'm just alittle dissapointed. Maybe I have to invest more money to get what I was hoping for.
So…this is a cool looking diffuser and it does blend really nicely into a living room setting etc. better then the white plastic ones and it hold more water and lasts longer between changes which is also very nice. HOWEVER - I am sending this unit back and not getting a replacement because on our third use I was having trouble with it not working. The water well is really hard to clean and the entire system is overly complicated and contingent on the flimsy spring cap in order for it to work properly. So... while I think it is the most attractive looking diffuser in this price range- I would not buy this product again because of the problematic spring/water releaser and its high potential for malfunction. Hope this helps you in your decision. :)
I have had several diffusers. Most of them break within a year because I use them daily. This is a very nice looking diffuser. It has a plastic, wood grain cover that makes it look more appealing than the regular plastic diffusers.
The reason for my 3 stars is two-fold.
This diffuser still shows a little bit of light even when the light is supposed to be turned off. This is annoying at night.
The water does not get all used up before the diffuser automatically shuts off. This wastes essential oil because it's near impossible to add more water to a partially filled reservoir. In order for the diffuser to work, the water reservoir is turned upside down into the base. Because of this set up, changing water and/or refilling when partially full is difficult.
This product used to be wonderful. I got one for Valentine's Day a few years ago and loved it. Ordered the same exact product on Amazon because I wanted another one. It didn't work properly, so I sent it back for a replacement. Well, the replacement doesn't work great, either...so, I guess that's the new standard for this product. It's unfortunate because a good diffuser is hard to find. If you don't mind it sputtering like it's having a hard time getting the steam out and leaking out into the base semi-large amounts of water, even with the lid on securely, then go for it. Otherwise, you might want to select a different one.
It's real easy to knock this thing over, just by virtue of the shape. The bottom has a little rubber pad so it won't skate over a table top, but that means that if you want to move it, you have to pick it up with both hands, from the bottom. You can't just scoot it over, as I learned the hard way. Other than that, though, I think it works fine. I chose this one because I thought it didn't look as medical/industrial as some of the other diffusers, but the joke's on me, because it looks like a big plastic "wood grain" tulip bud. Next one I buy will be even more low profile, because this one stands out a lot.
