A first time buyer of Hawkins pressure cooker. Delivered within a week. Cooking rice on slow flame takes time, but the end result is great. Challenge to close the lid, not as simple as prestiege, takes a lot of practice 😀 the top lit looks a bit flimsy. Hope it lasts
it is what it is it is a small pressure cooker, what makes it very inconvenient to use is the way the lid goes on and of when your putting the lid on things get stuck on top of the lid so you have to try try and try again to get it on, getting it of with boiling liquid in it is scary, the capacity is also very small ok its a1.5ltr but with all mentioned above with the lid carry on not very practical, for one person cooking for themselves its better than a 3/4/5ltr pan but i will not buy another one no way bigger is better 3/4ltr pan i have used the Hawkins once think the next time i try it it will be with a stiff drink in my hand HONEST.
this Cooker blew up twice at my kitchen . There are safety issues with this product I feel very disappointed that after a short period of time this happened. Seller only have few weeks of refund policy I am stuck with this faulty product waste of money . I feel lucky to be safe as I wasn’t in the kitchen that time
A great pressure cooker, Hawkins is a trusted brand for my whole family. It’s very useful in cooking lentils, vegetables, 1pot dishes etc. It reduces the cooking time as well as my gas bills by a lot! It’s also easy to clean and very hardy!
We have been using Hawkins cookers as far as memory goes from the 1960s in our homes in India Besides an old gasket or a loose handle screw they have never let us down Spares are easily available at outlets nearby
