Our 15 year old Cinnamon Green Cheek Conure had mostly stopped eating her Roudybush pellets - not sure why- new bags do not seem same as what I have been ordering for years. Decided to try these and she loves them! She actually gurgles as she eats them. Good size bag and quick delivery too- what more can I say except your bird may love them as much as my Sweetie does!
We were looking for pelleted food for our tiels that they would actually eat (vs throw out of the cage to get the dogs to come over) and this fit the bill. We tried them first in the their treat bowl as that is where they know exciting yummy things come - and they both took to it immediately. We still feed a mainly seed diet, but glad we finally found a daily pellet addition that has both nutrition that they need AND taste and texture they like.
Always comes on time with prime shipping, in great shape! I absolutely love these little pellets, I get the budgie size for my cockatiels. It originally took me a couple months of mixing pellets with their seed to get them on a healthy pellet diet & seeds only for treats or snacks. This food has everything they need for staple diet, along with fresh veggies & healthy carbs twice a day. I buy these a couple bags at a time & keep them in the freezer. The bags will last as long as you have them if kept frozen. Best pellets I can find for my picky birds & they LOVE it!
I have the most finicky cockatiel, he only likes the yellow bits in ZooPreem diet and wastes all the rest. He goes crazy for this bird food. All one color so no picking out what he wants and wasting the rest. I completely trust Mazuri brand feeds for my sulcata tortoise and my cockatiel bird. I've literally seen this brand of diet at our city zoo.
This brand was recommended to me by our avian expert, Dr. Jensen, who is a former zoo avian specialist. Our Caique likes it just fine and actually eats it more readily every day. Since color equals interest, I mix in some Zupreem Pure Fun just to keep his attention on his food.
My Dusky Headed Conure doesn't normally like unfamiliar foods but he ate this one, no problem. I also thought he wouldn't eat it because it is not brightly colored and has no fruity smell. I think we have a winner. I was feeding Zupreem but I feel better about feeding this food. So many healthy options out there, but not if they don't eat it.
Surprisingly enough my tiel loved it, when I placed it in one of her extra bowls she stared at it for about 20 seconds just smelling it. Next thing I knew she was eating it so fast that she looked like I havent fed her at all, even though she literally just ate like 1 minute after munching on her normal pellets.
My macaws have eaten Harrison's High Potency for many years. I purchased the Mazuri for my English Budgies but the macaws keep raiding the little birds food dish. I will certainly get the larger size for the big guys, they love these pellets!
