It looks great, works great and feels good quality. I ordered it from the US to the UK. I was kind of expecting it to be made in the USA with it's very American styling, so was a little disappointed to see that it says made in China on the box. There's nothing wrong with it being made in China (they make a lot of good products) but I liked the idea of getting something which was made in the USA, hence the slight disappointment and 4 stars instead of 5.
2 drops of vanilla in warm/hot milk, stopping of a sprinkle of cinnamon and some days a 2/4 tsp of of raw/Demerara sugar, strong cycle coffee and just about ready to face the rest of 2020, for at least today.
Used it for making salad dressing, foamy hot chocolate, chai latte, and, of course, coffee.
It does take a while to get the hang of frothing the milk, particularly to guesstimate the best temperature of milk to make foam for lattes. It will not, nor was it expected, taste the same as a barista steamed, foamed milk, but for the price ....
It mixes very well, the setting for high and low speed doesn’t have a stopper so can easily be put to high speed if you want low. Be nice if the blender part could be removed to wash it well. All in all it works good would buy again and would recommend
I bought this to help mix supplement drink powders with water while traveling. The 1st one worked so good that I ordered another about 6 months later for use at home. Shortly after the new one arrived, the older one's speed while immersed began to decay rapidly. Now, after about 8 months of use, the older one is so week, it is almost of no use to me. I have changed the batteries several times, hoping that it was just bad batteries, but I have concluded that the motor is just wearing out.
update: 8/30/2018 Amazing. After posting this review, I received two unrequested replacements in the mail. Great customer service. We'll see if these stand the test of time. Will update after another 6 months, or so.
This frother, like others have noted, feels heavy and well built. Its motion is very powerful. It remains to be seen if it eats batteries fast but those provided are welcome. I would have rated it 5 stars if it was not for the power switch. It needs to be moved vertically, between 3 positions (off, LO and HI). It has a very (too) smooth , slippery surface, with detent positions that are strongly defined. If your hand is wet in the slightest, as is often the case when preparing coffee, it is very hard to move the slide switch down in a controlled way - or up to the OFF position when the frothing is done. A simple push-down button, with a single off-on position would have provided far better ergonomics through haptic feedback. I have strong fingernails so I manage, but if it is not the case, do pick another model. If it was not for the solid, quality feeling build, I would have been inclined to just give it 3 stars. The difference between the LO and HI position is minimal and seems more like a marketing ploy. My advice to the manufacturer: Change the slide switch into a push-button (either at the top or on the side), keep the present motor and case and you will have a top notch unit.
I gave this frother a try after going through about a half dozen frothers, which kept breaking on me. I hope this one lasts. This frother is my favorite so far. For some reason it takes a little longer to produce the volumous froth that I love, but it can get their with patience. It's also great for single serving dalgona.
I like the weight, how it feels in hand and that it does not require a stand.
Two months so far and still going strong with daily use.
This frother proves the bubble universe theory. Sure, it will froth oat milk into a near solid for a nice chewy latte experience but that's beside the point. Even on its low setting you can feel it tug at the very fabric of time and space. You'll be hard pressed to keep the foamy vortex contained within a moderately vente container. The "high" setting will tear a hole in the universe through which you'll be transported to an out-of-this-world frotholicious mind trip from which you may never recover. Or want to, for that matter. Also, I like the stainless finish and flat end which allows this hyper-tweaked time ripper to sit upright on your counter poised for the next launch into caffeinated catharsis. Helpful hint: use a tall frothing cup or you risk a lactic supernova. Overall, I approve.
I fell in love with this blender using it to froth up my morning iced coffee or quickly stir a chocolate milk for my kids I was obsessed then all of a sudden. It slowed once I put it into my coffee it would slow and stop so I changed the batteries thinking that was the issue and unfortunately it was not and now it won't even turn on or work at all.....such a shame I have only been using it about 2 months and I've learned to love how my iced coffee tastes with it but now it's just sitting there broken when I've never dropped or misused it it always was cleaned and put into the box for safe keeping so I don't know what happened 😭
