I was so excited to try this new line from Pampers. We've been using Pampers Swaddlers since we brought our daughter home from the hospital. Never experienced any rashes or intense explosions. One day of using the new PURE line, and our daughter developed the worst diaper rash in her life. As soon as we immediate stopped using the diapers, the rash subsided and was gone.
Not sure why these diapers caused such a negative reaction, but "environmentally friendly" is not always the friendliest for your baby's butt. We're throwing away all the remaining diapers (literally more than half the pack) and rebuying the swaddlers.
These are the best! They run a bit bigger then regular swaddlers, and are definitely pricey but the tabs are better and the designs are so cute. They keep my baby girl from getting eczema on her thighs that she gets with other diapers. Love knowing they are all natural.
Wanted to add also that the points value is wrong. Online it says I should have received 72 points (see attached values chart) but I only received a total of 60 each pack gave me 20pts and the box comes with three packs inside. Come on pampers get it together and stop being stingy with the points. Also it doesn’t makes sense that the pampers cruisers give more points than these when these are pricer.
These diapers do not smell chemically like others, such as Costco diapers. Which I highly do NOT reccomend. They are pretty much the safest diapers you can get in my opinion and they are very transparent on the packaging what they use. For example, they do use polypropylene. However, this is the safest plastic material on the market and significantly better than materials such as polyurethane etc. They also control leg blow outs better than most diapers. Not 5 out of 5 as I wish the back was a tad longer or layered better to control blow outs that go up the back.
I love these diapers. From the beginning I was with Honest brand (which are also great) but I really wanted the pee indicator so I switched to Aleva at first. They fit very big so I then tried Babyganics, which I found had a strong chemical smell and they also stopped the indicator line after size 2, which brought me to these. I wish I had used them from the start. Only downside is they are very expensive - even more than Honest which is surprising - but worth it for me. My son is prone to rashes and regular pampers irritate his skin.
I switched from Bambo Nature diapers to these because my daughter kept blowing out of the Bambos. I am holding back a star because these Pampers are actually more expensive per diaper than Bambo Nature (if you subscribe) and, while the Pampers brand seems to be trying, it doesn’t have the same level of environmental commitment and quality of ingredients as Bambo. Still, I was tired of blowouts and am happy to have found an alternative without all the fragrances and additives.
I love these diapers! They’re super soft and keep my baby’s bottom pretty dry. So far in 6 months no rashes or leaking problems. We’ve tried to use other diapers and baby always gets a rash. They are a little pricey but to me they’re worth it. We do subscribe to the month supply of pampers pure size 3 I will say this is not a full month supply at all in fact it is almost one week and a half off every time . I have contacted amazon to try to change the shipping date and it won’t let you. You will have to cancel the delivery and resubscribe in order to get them before their month is up. I even called and the customer service rep stated that he tried a few different ways to change it and he was also unable to. I will continue to purchase these as it is the best price compared to other retailers and the pampers pure site itself. It’s just technically not a month supply.
I was really looking forward to these diapers. I love the original Swaddlers. My baby girl never had a single case of diaper rash in the first three months of her life while we were using them. When I found out about Pampers Pure, I thought surely they would be the best of both worlds— the super absorbency and leak protection I’d come to love from Pampers, only with the added bonus of all-natural ingredients. I was WRONG.
These diapers seem high quality, but they DO NOT wick away moisture well. I never had any leakage issues (any more than with the Swaddlers), but I noticed almost immediately that my baby started developing a horrid diaper rash. She was so red and raw (it was BAD) and I was having to change her every 30 minutes just to keep the diaper rash from getting even worse. This was with diaper rash cream and baby powder. These diapers simply hold moisture on your baby’s skin and are not breathable in the slightest. There’s always the possibility that my daughter was allergic to something in these diapers, but with the hypoallergenic materials, I am more inclined to believe it was the lack of moisture-wicking in these diapers that caused a constant diaper rash. After two weeks, I switched back to the original Swaddlers, and my baby's SEVERE Diaper rash disappeared in two days.
I appreciate that Pampers is trying to offer a more natural diaper solution for parents who still want to go the disposable diaper route, but let it be known that unless you want to be changing your baby every ten minutes to keep excess moisture from building up and causing a diaper rash from hell, these are not for you.
We've used Pampers Pure for the last 13 months - since my girl was four weeks old and we realized she had pretty sensitive skin. We switched to Pure, and haven't had a whiff of diaper rash since. I've loved them, largely because they don't smell like diapers, until this last batch of Size 5s we put her in for overnights.
She's a belly sleeper, and tends to have overnight wetness patterns more typical of a boy. Over the last two weeks, she's awakened early at least nine mornings (I'm losing track from lack of sleep), crying because her diaper has exploded and the wet gel is all over her bum, her belly, and her legs. It's a nightmare - bath, yellow gel all over the floor, more laundry (which means the pee-soaked gel is ending up in the washer?!). I don't know if this is a batch problem or what, but I'm not sure I'd recommend the Pampers Pure line anymore.
