To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
My mom had a little bit of trouble understanding the cards, but this game's been a hit with my family and friends. I'm not sure how to review it as a game. As a product it's very nice. It's pretty, well constructed, and I didn't encounter any production errors.
There are two minor complaints I have: - There are almost, but not quite, enough building blocks to fill up every space on the board. It rarely matters, and the rulebook explains how to work around it, but it just seems silly to not include 5% more pieces. - The player pawns come in pretty similar colors. In mediocre lighting, it's hard to tell them apart.
I painted the pawns, which was pretty easy but the molding isn't fantastic. As miniatures for painting go, they're about on the level of the Wizkids unpainted D&D models, though of course they're not pre-primed. If you use a wash you will notice a lot of flash.
I’ve played the game once before at a friends house and enjoyed it, so I wanted a copy for myself. I was excited when I saw the title say ‘Up to 6 players’ because we have two other couples that come over weekly for games and we needed more games compatible for that many people, but when we pulled it out to play, we learned it’s only up to 4 players. Super disappointed that it’s mislabeled.
