My buns LOVE these!! I was buying non-organic applewood sticks and they would chew them sometimes, but never finished the whole stick. Totally different with these sticks. They will eat the entire thing and even fight over them, which is hilarious to watch (don't worry if the video seems like they are fighting, they ARE bonded, they just go crazy over these sticks!). I highly recommend these. We are customers for life!
But I will continue to buy them as one of my bunnies (I have three) really loves them, way more than other types of sticks she's tried. She snatches them away and greedily chews them up. The other two buns are indifferent to all sticks. Hopefully they really are organic. ~Shay
UPDATE: Over a year since my previous review and she's still loving these sticks, and is very healthy. I give her one or two sticks a day and it really keeps her happy! She will make a lot of noise and fusses until she gets her stick, then settles right down. She just chews the bark off now and leaves the rest. She seriously goes a little crazy chewing on them! I've tried other toys and chew things and she ignores them. Since it is such a little thing to make her this happy, she'll keep getting these apple sticks.
My bunny shreds these sticks down to a toothpick size. He does not like willow nor sticks from shrubs but he devours these twigs. My rabbit is a free room rabbit without a cage. These sticks are incredible as a diversion to chewing on furniture and carpet. Also, these are perfect for him to keep his teeth from over growing. At night my bunny will grab one in his mouth and take it to his bed with him. Too cute!! I am on my 3rd order of these.
My Chinchilla loves these apple sticks. I use them for his night treat. Just a note to those wanting to purchase these. Pay attention to the discription. 100g means grams not 100 sticks. This was an oversight on my part for my last order. Order the larger package and get more for your money.
all the sticks vary in thickness and size. They arrived fine only one of them had the moss fungus so i gave one (a safe one) to my Syrian hamster and she enjoyed it, some days later i go to see them and all have this blue greenish fuzzy bacteria on them that doesn’t look safe for my hamster so in the trash they go. Just check them for any unusual color or fuzziness before feeding them to your animal if purchased <3
I first purchased these about a year ago over the course of a few months with no problems. My guinea pigs love these apple sticks for a busy chew/boredom breaker. I recently bought another package of these and they had arrived looking normal but the bag smelt a little musty/mildewy, so I didn't give them to my piggies. A few days later I opened the bag and they had grown mold!! Every stick from top to bottom was covered in mold. I'm unsure if they've changed manufacturers or sanitizing/packaging processes or something but I'm kind veey disappointed. I've never had an issue up until this point.
