Now the width of the paper rolls has been reduced from more that 4 inches to 3.92 inches. This may be fine for patting oneself dry, but for the other use it is too narrow, resulting in using more paper.
Charmin ultra soft? More like Charmin Ultra Ruff!! Did they mix the toilet paper with something else? I always buy Charmin ultra soft but for some reason, this is not the same toilet paper that I usually buy! It’s as if they got some other toilet paper and covered it with a brand name. If anyone else notices this please say something!!
What is disliked about this product is the quantity of a case went from 24 rolls to 18 rolls. The rolls are much smaller. The price of 18 rolls went up about 30% from the 24 roll prices previously paid. I am done with this product.
This shipment the rolls had no perforations on the tissue so it tears anyway it likes! Don't like this, as one uses more tissue than necessary I think as well. I've only checked one package, so maybe will be pleasantly surprised that the others are perforated. Hope so! :)
As stated in other reviews… these rolls are smaller than normal rolls. They’re still usable, obviously. But smaller in size. Definitely not worth the price. This is the stuff you find in Dollar Gen. (for way cheaper).
Pros: ~Space saving ~Softness is okay but not great ~Absorbency is okay but not great
Cons: ~Not as soft as the older 2X rolls - I have several packages of the older 2X in my guest bath to compare to. The new 2X rolls I recently found are awful! They have seriously changed their quality, probably with the intent of driving customers to the new Mega rolls.
~Absorbency has definitely taken a hit as compared to the older 2X rolls. I find myself using about 20% more tissue to do the job while still keeping my hand dry. That's a bummer (no pun intended) that takes a big bite out of the value for money.
~Strength of tissue is also down. Never had a problem before with punching my finger through the tissue. Now it's a definite issue.
I've been a long time, faithful customer of Charmin' Ultra Soft, but as this tissue I bought gets in low supply, I will be trying other brands for the first time in quite a few years.
