To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The instructions provided with my unit are next to useless. Setup and navigating the features = absolutely painful... BUT it seems to just work automatically anyways on whatever I am using it on. So I guess it is not that big of a deal. It has kept a car in my garage topped up now for 3-4 months. The car fires right up every time even after sitting for a prolonged amount of time.
Absolute garbage. Spend the money and get a proper unit from NOCO or Battery Tender. The unit stopped working and the buttons no longer work on it.
Worked well for a few weeks. Tried to attach it the other day and when I attached the negative clip to the ground in my car, it sparked and the cable melted almost instantly. Contacted customer support but have heard nothing back yet.
Bought this charger in December 2018. I had a good marine battery which is hooked to an electric fence zapper. It charged it fine for a week and then stopped charging it, just says 'pon' and the bad battery icon blinks. There is nothing wrong with the battery as I've used it fine and charging with a solar charger it topped up to 13.6V nicely. This is the second battery I've tried this with and it is the same behavior with both batteries. Update May 2019: Also tried a LiFePo4 battery. It shows full at 11.5V and stops charging (12.8V nominal 14.2V max charge voltage are expected). Either mine is defective or this is a scam.
I would have happily given this five stars up until yesterday. Yesterday it simply stopped working. The light doesn't come on, there's nothing on the display, it's simply dead. It is about a year and a half old, it should last longer than this. It's too bad, it was working well. Very disappointing. Kind of a waste of money now.
Sounds good. BUT IS SERIOUSLY BAD AS A MONITORING SYSTEM OR ANY FUNCTION WHICH MIGHT BE REQUIRED AND SHOULD A PRIORITY. First, It doesn't/wont start from depleted or discharged battery. Second. While it MIGHT charge your battery to capacity, it puts a draw on it for monitoring purposes and draws it to death and NEVER kicks back in.
